Succubus Summoning 206 posted

Good news Succubus Summoning fans.  The latest chapter, 206, is now up at Literotica:

http://www.literotica.com/s/succubus-summoning-206

I just about managed to keep to my plan of releasing a new chapter every month since bringing the series off hiatus.  June might be challenging as I'm running a little late, but there's a good chance I'll make it as I'm giving the Succubus Summoning series greater focus now I've figured out some of the plot turns.  This means the updating of the blog will be a little sporadic.  I suspect readers won't mind that if it means more of Phil's adventures with Verdé, Rosa and the others.

This month it's Nurse Honey's turn to get involved with the sexy stuff.  Funnily enough, I originally intended for this scene to come up later.  Then I realised it fixed a problem for me, which was... well, that would spoil things.  It will become clearer in the next few chapters.

As before, any feedback gratefully accepted.  If there are questions you want answered, or (more importantly!) notice any glaring errors I really need to fix before I put the ebook version together, sling them down below.

Next month it's time for Cέrμləa to start her lessons, and possibly a new monster girl for Phil to have fun with (not that he'll have any choice in the matter...)

  1. Cool chapter. You probably think I do nothing but complain, but I figure you get plenty of praise from other people. Anyway, a few comments.

    1) Nurse Honey's line, "The patient appears to have lost *their* vigour."

    2) I didn't really buy Nurse Honey's "loophole". If her prisoners are trapped in some kind of eternal ecstasy (like the victims of those plants in Verde's garden), then I can understand why it wouldn't technically count as a "harm." But since they seem to be in either physical or mental agony, I don't see why it wouldn't fall under even a very narrow conception of "harm."

    3) It would be nice if you could find a middle ground between Phil (who seems to have acquired a sparkling suit of Plot Armor +5) and his arrogant classmates (who clearly don't stand a chance, and for whom the audience has little sympathy).

For example: maybe Phil is trying to learn a new spell from Rosa and Cέrμləa, but Rosa thinks he's not trying hard enough. So as a means of providing extra motivation, they lock some poor shy kid in a room with Nyte, and Phil has to master the new spell (or whatever) in order to save the kid. This could add some dramatic weight to the succubus sex, since unlike the other cases, Phil might feel seriously guilty if he doesn't succeed.

    1. Ah it was nice seeing Nurse Honey get it on the action again even as the inevitable drew nearer.

I liking the 200 series so far as well. Finding a loophole in warlock protections is sorta Nurse Honey's thing.

That said, I'm with C in that I'd like to see some more relationship building between phil and his classmates. That way the audience gets to feel for his hapless classmates through Phil's loss.

An example would be having Phil witness Verde feed upon a new friend or helpful professor. All-the-while being unable to intervene.

That or some sort of ethical dilemma found in shows like Star Trek. Does Phil vouch for his friend at his own peril or does he live and let die because he's petrified of his Succubi turning on him.

Either way, I'm delighted to read your creations.

    2. @C Nah, I don't mind the criticism. It's easy to miss things while writing and I'd rather they were picked out now than later. I adjusted the ending to Locked in with a Succubus after I noticed it confused too many readers.

      1. Hmm. Not sure what's wrong with this one. 'Their' should be 'his'?

      2. 'Harm' probably wasn't the best word for me to use. 'Injure' would have been better. The room is setup to protect students from daemons killing them, extracting their souls, tearing their arms off, driving them insane, that kind of thing. Nurse Honey is slightly different. What she does isn't covered by the protection circles and will become a plot point later.

      3. Middle ground is on the way. Darvill's group are meant to provide contrast. Both are facing similar sex daemon problems, but Phil is surviving his, and his decisions and actions are part of it. (with the exception of the spider daemon, but more on that later...)

    3. @CivilDeviation - The ethical dilemma will grow as the series progresses. I don't want to push it too hard as it would suck a lot of the fun out of the story. It's why the student victims we've seen so far have deliberately been painted as arrogant toss-bags.

Another interpretation, where they're basically good guys and Phil has to stand by helpless and unable to intervene as his succubi sucked their souls out, would be more realistic, but I think it would become a little too uncomfortable and probably a turn off (a big fail for erotica!) for most readers. I'll take the story close to that line, but I don't want it to get as dark as some of my short stories.

    4. That would be a turn off to them? I'm a bit confused as I thought you used that device in Succubus 101 with Jake and in the "Pussy Wrapped" series to great effect. That might be just my tastes, then again it may be different in the middle of a story arc versus a stand-alone.

For me, I'm getting bored by all the PC, romanticized, and cookie cutter succubi stories that have came out since it turned into a fad (thank you "Lost Girl").

Despite that bias, so long as you stay true to your art and continue challenging the *overcensoring propriety zealots* when you feel it right, then I am happy. For example, I may not have found the scat sexy in the last bubblegum story, but I love the risk you took and hope any notoriety it brought adds to your well-deserved popularity.

    5. Don't worry. I'll keep pushing it as far as I can ;). I've already upset a few people with the Verde scene in 202 (and Halloween Nyte). No sparkly PC vamps here. There will always be a hint of fangs and danger underneath the sexiness, because that's a good part of what makes a succubus sexy.

    6. I am a little confused, as to the fate of the victim of a succubus. There are parts of the story that suggest that their souls are burned up but there are other parts that suggest that they're burning is eternal which is very hard not to feel sorry for them. I read the whole story both stories the 101 series and the 200 series but I would like some clarification about what the truth of the story is does the person get burned up or is the victim burning for eternity? And also through the story the sucubus always use that they choose their fate excuse. But I seem to remember several times from the story that choice that is an informed choice was not present because I don't care how hard your dick is if you knew your soul was going to be set aflame you would walk away. At least I think most people would.

  2. Honestly, you've developed enough on the whole Succubus Summoning story that I'd personally not mind having a whole chapter devoted to fleshing the plot out even more and forgoing the sex. (GASP!)

The sex is great of course, but, I think its all becoming so predictable - you can identify whos getting their soul sucked out almost after the first 2-3 paragraphs. Then again, perhaps the formula you've got going is the whole point of the series to you?

Anyways, I'm most certainly a fan of yours and Succubus Summoning is my favorite of your works! I hope to see stronger bonds develop between Phil and his succubi as the story goes on! Let's not forget his warlock powers either, I think Phil finally starting to develop them and gain the respect of his succubi and others would be very fun to read.

    1. I did think about it, but I like the challenge of being able to keep developing the plot and include a gratuitous sex scene in each chapter.

I think it's safe to say anyone other than Phil having sex with the succubi will not survive the end of the chapter. For now anyway. I try to vary the specifics of how they reach their end to compensate. Their eventual fate might be obvious, but finding out how they meet it is the fun part!

  3. Considering Honey and the whole turning into a liquid thing, is she a sort of amoeba/slime like Cassandra from Monster Girl Quest (http://monstergirlquest.wikia.com/wiki/Cassandra)?

I really like how the characters interact. And honestly the plot itself is interesting, something you normally don't see in sex stories since they're typically oneshots and focused on the sex.

And yes I too was wondering if we'd start seeing a darker side to Phil's succubi since he really doesn't control them. It will be interesting, and grim, to see Phil struggling with their darker side since he, unlike say the Scrote, doesn't seem to be a sociopathic asshole who'd have no problem with the succubi doing such things.

Regarding succubi and souls, are souls a form or nourishment for them or is that the energy/semen they pull out during sex?

    1. Not a slime. She can absorb someone, but at that point she's introduced enough of her honey into their system that they start to become part of her. With the warlock in 101 (and Phil to some extent) it happened gradually each time they replenished their energies, but she can claim a victim from a single bout of sex if she wants to.

I'll push the moral dilemma aspect a little over the coming chapters, but not to the point where it starts to get too wangsty.

Bit of both with the souls. They suck out energy and if they suck enough the soul comes out with it.

  4. Thank you M.E. Hydra, you got me interested in the erotic horror genre. Your Succubus Summoning is one of my favorite stories, including the other three with these characters. Also Iron Girders and Steel Springs, The Masterton Covenant and Jackson in HRPG-World 3 and 4. Rosa, Cέrμləa and Kath are some of my favorite characters fallowed closely by Verde, Nÿte and Nurse Honey. I'm planning to get your anthologies as soon as I have my new credit card.

I have some questions if I may.

    1. Can Cέrμləa split in to as many copies as there are countries in the world, take a different, fully human form for each one and then have sex simultaneously in every country?

    2. Why does Verde have ocean depths and leviathans behind her eyes when her powers have to do with plants? (Rosa has a fiery abyss and Nÿte has darkness which matches their powers)

    3. If you pushed Nÿte through a meat grinder would she orgasm call it foreplay and have extreme S&M sex with you?

    4. Nÿte and Nurse Honey were perfectly adapted to overcome the defenses used against them in the last two chapters. Could the other ones do the same? (I suppose this is a plot point and will be answered in story).

    5. How does an incubus feed in this world you're sharing with us?

    1. Questions, questions. I'll see what I can answer.

      1. I don't know with Cέrμləa. Possibly. She's the mystery one.

      2. Metaphor. Phil is expecting to see predator's eyes and Verde is much more complex.

      3. That might kill her. Daemons heal better than humans, but extreme damage will still kill them. While she enjoys pain, she won't allow her partner to inflict permanent damage. Also, she likes to switch roles. Hurt her a lot in hot S&M sex, better be prepared to receive the same or worse the following night...

      4. Plot point. Brennan and Dever were arrogant, but also a little unlucky in picking completely the wrong succubi to carry out their plans against (this might become a recurring theme).

      5. Through sex, same as the succubi (and like succubi it doesn't matter if they're with a man or woman). I don't write incubus scenes because I don't think I can write a hot scene from a female or gay perspective without it being laughably bad. I know my limitations. :) You can assume incubi are also present in the universe and doing plenty of sexy things. If anyone wants to write fanfic of this, feel free to have fun.

    2. Thank you for taking the time to answer. These were just a few things I was wondering after marathoning your literotica page (I had free time).

Regarding #5 I was wondering how they feed of women since sperm and testicles seem to play a big role when feeding of men. A woman doesn't have the appropriate glands to make sperm and no real equivalent to sperm. My theory is through womb and/or breasts. Does that make sense?

    3. Would depend on the writer. I like having succubi feed off the fluids because it feels more tangible. Stimulating men to produce more and more ejaculate until they run out of fluids gives a biological mechanism to the energy drain. I haven't done any incubi fiction but the alternate approach could be to have them soak up the vaginal secretions produced during sex. They cause their female victims to keep orgasming until they run out of fluids and die.

That would be a simple mirror to the type of succubus/monster girl I write. I'm not sure if it would constitute a sexy incubus story as the myths and audience perception are different. The main problem for incubi is the spot they would have inhabited has now been taken by the badder Twi-Vamps and Twi-Weres of Paranormal Romance.

    4. Thank you, this satisfies my curiosity. I'm not looking for any incubus stories, I much prefer monster girls over monster boys.

  5. Regarding question 2, are you sure the "ocean depths and leviathans" is an actual power of hers? Frankly it sounds like a metaphor, that she puts on this shallow pretty girl look, but that the real her is deeper than that facade.

    ReplyDelete

    1. That is why I ask, we don't see her use water magic, only plant and sex related magic.

Ocean depths and leviathans doesn't exactly sound shallow to me. If it is a metaphor then it is more likely that Phil himself is projecting this image on to her rather then it being something that she is doing.

  6. 1. M.E, regarding Phil and his magical education do his parents know he's a magic user/going to Wargsnouts? From what little I was able to glean from the Google Preview of your Succubus Summoning book, and from what you've already written, magic appears to be secret so what do his parents know about Wargsnouts?

    2. We've often heard references to Phil McRestaurant past, will we get to see Phil meet someone from that past, possibly with one of the succubi with him?

    3. Where is Wargsnouts located, and what do magic users think of the Harry Potter series?

3a. Is Wargsnouts considered a prominent magic school in the magic community or is it a lower-end school? And do other countries/continents have their own magic academies?

3b. Regarding magic are there regional variations on it? Often times in stories, various parts of the globe have different magic styles such as Japan and its traditional magic, omniyouji.

    4. Will we get to see Phil in a sandwich again with Verde and Rosa, like he was in Chapter 5 of SS101?

    1. 1. Phil's home life will come up in a later story arc. Normals don't know about magic. He's on a free scholarship type deal to a college for talented students as far as his folks know.

      2. For a future arc. I have some ideas, not fleshed out yet.

      3. Somewhere in an isolated part of the UK. The Harry Potter series exist as fiction. Warlock families would know of it as a pop culture phenomenon amongst the normals, but wouldn't pay it much attention. Outreach (like Phil) would spot the parallels, but Wargsnouts is a college rather than a school. The one thing they'd notice is how dry and boring most of the classes are considering they're supposed to be about magic (Wargsnouts is very much stuck in the past).

3a & 3b. I haven't thought about the rest of the world building yet. Wargsnouts would be a prominent college in the UK. There might be others and certainly warlocks eleswhere in the world. Other cultures would tend to use different daemons.

      4. Probably, although I'm not sure for this arc. I think Puff and Pfaffle will probably put in another appearance, though, and I suspect they quite like sandwiching men between them.

  7. Hey MEH, have you considered making a succubus who specializes in tickling and/or tease-and-denial stuff? She could be an interesting foil to Nyte - just imagine the two of them getting into philosophical debates over their respective methods. Maybe they could have some kind of competition...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hmm. I haven't really done any tie-and-tease stuff. Probably because my succubi are too greedy. They're fine with the tying up, but don't leave the victim waiting too long to get to the good stuff. :)

    2. Well, you've done some denial before, like Amycis. I'm sure she's not the only one who likes a really big pop. :-)

  8. Do they have feelings for him?I've been reading this series from the start and have been checking for updates every day. Even during that break after 202. It seems that Rosa, at least would miss him if he was dead. Wasn't that hinted in 100? Why couldn't they just find a new warlock? They may be cold hearted but maybe that is just what they are. Even the wicked can still fall in love. I don't mean to assume anything here. I'm just writing my musings. A fellow author who likes to be on both sides of the plate.

    1. Sort of, in alien succubus-type fashion. There are a lot of hints buried in the previous chapters/stories as to why they like him and I'll sneak more into future chapters.

    2. I do believe I know why but I don't want to spoil it for other readers. I've read the whole series like 10 times. By lOve I kinda meant lust. They are what they are after all lust seems to be their primary emotion
