Playing around with potential covers for "A Succubus for Christmas"

I'm still playing around with Wombo Dream for potential cover prospects.  Christmas was a tricky one to get anything workable.

I had this as a candidate, but after adding the titles, I'm not so sure.  I think it might not quite be abstract enough to get away with looking weird.

Thoughts?

  1. It looks pretty good MEH. It fits because of the eldtrich nature and mystique of your succubi and the abstract and mysterious concept about what's going to happen. The cover for one of your books, the succubus sitting on the pumpkin (Succubus for Halloween) was a bit too cartoony for me.

I think it would be a massive improvement if you use Wombo to replace it.

    About Sinia...

Her model was created from the SFM workshop. Sinia with the purple skin in Dezmall's video is a modified version while the Sinia with tanned skin, long red hair, and pink eyes is actually her original appearance.

The purple skinned Sinia is simply another dude that got his hands on her and made a few "tweaks" to her appearance.

    1. Wombo has been frustrating me as it gets close to the abstract nature, but it's not quite there. Reaction to this one has been too mixed for me to use it. I have others that seem more reasonable.

Ah, so Sinia is a shared model. That makes sense. She is rather lovely.

  2. Honestly, I get why Many-Eyed Hydra wasn't sure about this picture as a cover. It's somewhat abstract, but not enough to really get the 'Eldritch' feel of some of the other Wombo pics that have been posted.

    1. Yep. My personal feeling is it falls in middle of not being abstract enough but too messed up to be a figure. I'll post some other examples that I think are better. At the moment Wombo seems borderline. I want to use it to save a lot of grief in getting new cover art commissioned, but only if I can find pictures of an acceptable quality.

  3. Hey Hydra I got a question. Why does Madam Voluptula not let virgins bang her? Does she truly believe that men shouldn't waste that on her, or is she "young" and wont control herself eating a virgin?

Also does Corene, Nicole, and Madam Voluptula know each other?

With the Wombo image, its hard to see what message you are conveying with it. Doesn't really scream sexy.

    1. She's worried she'll lose control and eat them.

I need to post the opening scene from a novel idea I had. That is Madam Voluptula and Nicole together with a virgin. Even if I never get around to writing the novel, I think people will probably still enjoy that scene.

  4. I don't think the cover would be a good choice.
Instead of otherworldly, the Santacubus looks just anatomically incorrect.

  5. I mean its kind of a "makes you think" art piece, but it doesn't scream sexy.

    1. Replying to this and the comment above to say, yup, this a common concern and I agree with it. Needs to be more abstract or the succubus more detailed (and sexy).

    1. Ebony(Epicratea) from the "Oil-Wrestling a Succubus" story won.

She's also the one I've done least prep for in converting her to a HoHH harlot scenario. That'll keep me busy next week. :D

  7. Who were the other options?
