The reason things have been so quiet around here:

I'm a massive fan of the original Dark Souls game.  From Software seem like a defiant holdout from the days when developers made classics like the original Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 2, and the early Silent Hill games.  The sequel isn't quite as perfect as the first Dark Souls (which was a masterpiece of level design), but is still a damn good game.

I might post some more stuff on it later.

But not a full walkthrough.  The game is too large for that.  And most of my deaths have been of the embarrassing, falling-off-a-ledge-to-my-doom kind (including multiple times in the tutorial area, much to my shame).

  1. How do you feel about those people who can do "no damage/no death" runs in Dark Souls & Dark Souls II?

Also how is your Succubus Summoning 208 story coming along?

    1. It's not that kind of difficulty. Once a player figures out where everything is the games are relatively straightforward. DS1 is impossible to do a true no death run as one of the boss fights is unwinnable first time around. I think one death is allowed to the Bed of Chaos as well as that fight is near impossible to do in one attempt because of how the fight works. Most deaths are through unfamiliarity with the territory/enemy attack patterns. The games are tough, but mostly fair.

I'm treating this as a pause to get my writing head back in gear. I pushed the new collection back because I wasn't happy with how some of the recent stories were coming out. Should get back to it refreshed fairly shortly.

  3. Not sure if I have to put a spoiler alert...
A bit of a random question, but I was wondering when for an example Rosa and Verde is speaking to each other, then why do they still speak in English (I'm referring to the time they thought he was unconcious and then he got concious and unconcious again in 101) I guess it's just for the sake of us to be able to read it?

    1. On the mechanical, behind the curtain side: So the reader can read it.

In universe: Tied into the heightened succubus ability to know what's sexy for their target. They'll speak the language of their "master" unless they make a conscious decision not to.

It's also the reason why everyone encountering Nicole thinks her accent is sexy and exotic, but all think she's from a different country.

    2. Thank you, so the succubus has their own language but chooses to speak the language of their "master-who's-really-not-in-control" This sparks forth another question, you don't have to answer it, maybe a chapter will cover it, but does this mean that a succubus either learn human languages through their life or do they simply "pick them up" and learn it by some magical means?

    3. Combination of both. They have an empathic nature (in order to know what gives pleasure). This would also enable them to learn new languages quickly. Plus some of them have been around for a while.

  4. Does Phil normally wake up sandwiched between Verde and Rosa? Or do they sleep somewhere else and leave him in the school dormitories?

Does his typical waking up involve being between Rosa and Verde?

    1. He has a room in the castle (the succubi thought his dorm room at the college was grotty). Some nights would be spent between Rosa and Verde (and combinations of the others), but not all as too many nights in a row would kill him. Plus the succubi tend to get up to other things not involving Phil (which will turn into plot points later)

  5. Regarding that old crush of Phil's, that goth girl that Cerulea sorta played around with in Phil's memories in SS 110, will she feature in any later stories?

Also will we run into Phil's parents or some of his old coworkers from the McRestaurant he was working at before he came to Wargsnouts? I think it'd be interesting if his succubi were wit him if/when that occurs.

What do his parents know about where Phil currently is? He's like 18 or 19 right? Do they know he's going to a magic school or do they think Wargsnouts is just some sort of college or university?

  6. Oh also if I want to ask you questions, which is better to ask you at: here or at the Literotica forums? I sent you a PM there, which was the same question you just answered here.

  7. Not sure of your real reasons amigo but the longer you leave it, the harder it is for us all to buy the line about you being busy with a computer game. Personaly I don't believe a word of it.

It's not our place to pry into your private life though. All i'll say is Hydra come back. We miss you.

If it is about that journalist twat that was threatening you, I know it's a scary thought and you worry about detrimental effects to your personal life but you have a pen too. do the same back to him. If he names you, name him back and show the world how he operates. You might have less listeners but people will care a lot more about somebody abusing his journalistic powers than they will some erotic fiction writer.

It seems to me he has more to lose than you do on that little exchange.

Anyways, whatever your reason. I hope life is all good with you and that you come back to us and write some more fantastic stories real soon. Your works are truely awesome.
