Reason for the slight pause in VH5 walkthrough (and absence of #DailyWriting)

I've been sick for the last couple of weeks.

Nothing serious, thankfully.  (Although there were some anxious moments while I waited for the blood tests to come back).

I had the misfortune to contract a virus that's played merry hell with my digestive system and seems to be using every dirty biological trick to keep me from eating.  During this time I've been laid up in bed with approximately the same energy level as a sloth with a 60-a-day smoking habit.  This has done an effective job of fucking up my writing schedule.

The doctors have given me some pills to hold my digestive system together so I can actually eat things without them immediately shooting out of one end or the other.  Normal service should return once my body has finally beaten the virus off.

  1. Woah. I hope you get better soon. Did the doctors say what type of virus or illness it was?

    1. Virus. I let it hang around longer than usual by doing stupid things like stubbornly trying to go back to work too soon or not eat for a week.

    1. Will give it a look as soon as I'm healthy. My loins are stone dead at the moment (like most of the rest of me :( )

    2. I had a quick look. Looks very familiar in places. I suspect this is the JRPG torotoro resistance wanted to make originally. Suspect it will be a better game at the cost of not being as erotic as MGQ. MGQ's main strength was it was h-scene chained after h-scene and you never needed to wait too long for something to hit the right button. This might end up being too grindy.

  6. Hope you get well soon. I have Crohn's Disease, and I very much know how this feels.

    Best of luck!

P.S. - I also found "Beat the virus off" funny.

    1. Ouch, my commiserations. 2-3 weeks of this is bad enough. I don't even want to imagine what it's like to suffer it regularly. :(

    2. Some of it you can get used to.

Some of it not so much, but luckily there's medication for that. Besides - when you get diagnosed at age 12, you have time to adjust.
