Story Inspiration - A Succubus for Freedom

After a slight pause to Covid and getting other things back on track, it's time to continue with the impromptu Q'n'As about the stories from my various collections.  We're now up to the 4th collection: "A Succubus for Freedom".

For a reminder, here is the list of stories from that collection:

1) A Succubus for Freedom *
2) Exile
3) Guard Duty
4) Don't Fuck the Flowers
5) The Biggest Tits in the World
6) A Night at McHooligans
7) Barbarian vs Succubus *
8) Onychophoral Dreams *
9) Naga Massage Review
10) Come on the Candle *
11) What Bad Boys Get For Christmas
12) Riding the Medusa *
13) Locked in with a Succubus

* exclusive to this collection

If you have any questions about the inspiration behind or anything that happened in these particular stories, fire away below.

As I mentioned, the last couple of months have been disrupted by Covid and other distractions.  I'm trying to get up to speed again.  I was blocked for a while trying to write the Story Inspiration segment for "A Succubus for Christmas".  I've now got over and completed that.  I need to prep the manuscript and give it a thorough editing pass.  Once that's done, I'll get the collection back up on Amazon and other places ASAP.

  1. Here are my questions Big H.

    1. What was the inspiration for Exile? A human and succubus having almost "loving" sex?

    2. Are the hot elves from the Dominion of Lust or were they just random sex monsters you created for a one shot that wont be seen again. It sucks that they had the guy wear a condom. Sex scene would have been better if they did him raw.

    3. Instead of Rosa, would Hooligans be different if Carny brought Verde, Nyte, or Nurse Honey instead.

    4. How was the succubi able to find the guy that escaped in Biggest Tits in the World? Do the succubi control the police? And what would have happened if the succubus chasing him would have caught him on the street? Its not like she can attack him in a crowd.

    5. Who are these evil succubi that wanted to eat the nice virgin guy in Locked with Succubus? How did Inari discover he was being stalked?

That's all I got. Thank you.

    1. 1) Exile was an old story idea from back when I wanted to write regular horror. I dusted it off and added the sex in the middle. The protagonist is a demon. While it isn't stated, there's a strong hint he got exiled to "hell" (i.e. Earth) for the crime of loving the succubus.

      2) The nature of the "Santa" in that story probably has to put it in its own universe. Expies of those elves would be a good fit for the Dominion of Lust, so I might use them again.

      3) Probably would have played out similar, but with less risk of Phil getting accidentally drained.

      4) That group have been embedded in that city for a while, so have likely corrupted some of the institutions. If he'd been caught on the street, the succubus would have likely used some ability to knock him out/put him to sleep. Then claimed to be a friend and then would have got their contacts within the emergency services to deliver him straight back to them. The story is meant to use the Stranger in a Foreign City tropes, so those tend to remove all of the support structures so the protagonist feels truly isolated.

      5) There are a few floating around in other stories. Even a "neutral" one could be dangerous at that point. Inari has plans for the dude and wanted that taken care of before his irresistible virgin aura brought sexy doom on himself.

  2. 1. Are you realistically ever going to continue with Succubus Summoning? It feels like you have a lot of projects/ideas buzzing around, but they all move at a snails pace

    2. Are there any fetishes that you absolutely will not include in your stories?

    1. 1) I hope to. I had a period where I was all over the place with projects and wasn't finishing anything. Since starting the Patreon I've become a lot more disciplined. Once I got started on House of Hellish Harlots, I knew I couldn't go back to the old ways of jumping around (although the odd break to write a short story is fine) otherwise I'd lose all support, and deservedly so. Unfortunately HoHH has turned out to be much bigger than I anticipated as I tend to get carried away on the scenarios. It's also massive. Each harlot has about the same word count as a short story and there are nearly 50 of them. In word count it's probably comparable to 4 collections.

At the moment I'm committed to getting it to a completion state. After that I want to get the 7th collection done (it only needs 3 short stories, so that might even be done while working on Hohh). SS 301 is next in the queue. Hopefully, with the better discipline I've picked up from running the Patreon, I'll be able to get that written without any distractions.

      2) There are a few of varying levels.

Some - eg Underage, Necrophilia, Bestiality - are mandatory no-nos. If I wanted to include those I'd have to strip out all erotic elements and treat it as a conventional (if gross) horror story.

Loli is a tricky one. Conceptually, I have no problem with the idea of a demon masquerading as a young girl. Unfortunately there is a problem with the "she's really 1,000 years old, honest" stories, so people will assume the worst even if you're not trying to be creepy. The H-space stories with the Scarlet Imps tend to get rejected by Literotica even though I'm very careful to treat them as asexual gremlins. Sites/publishers are very careful around that area and I don't really blame them, to be honest.

Then there are my personal turn-offs. Futa is a real blegh for me, so it's very unlikely I'll write it.

Furry is a weird one. The obvious cartoony stuff is a turn-off for me. Fantasy races with non-human heads are probably okay, but given the choice, I'd probably make them monster girls instead.

Then there are things I'm cool on - eg foot fetish, scat, diapers. They're not a turn-off, but they don't really do anything for me, so I don't have confidence I'd be able to include the fetish and make it sexy.

I do try to include as many fetishes as possible. The fun thing about succubi and monster girls is they can do things regular humans can't, which makes them perfect for exploiting certain fetishes.

    2. I bought a few on Amazon, I am guessing I will need to repurchase them? Not the biggest deal since I think you sell them for around 5 bucks each but just curious

    3. You shouldn't need to repurchase if you already have them. They'll mostly be the same books with new covers.

  4. I thought being in the Dominion of Lust wouldn't be so bad and might be enjoyable, but after reading Hydra's responses, its horrible. Let's say if a human soldier hides out in a random area in the Dominion. How long would it take for him to be found?

Would being in the Dominion of Lust too long will start to make him horny? Would falling asleep alert succubi of his presence? Or if he travels deep enough in the Dominion, would the succubi get so powerful that one can literally spawn on top of him for thinking about sex?

    ReplyDelete

    1. It would probably be fairly enjoyable, if brief. But that would depend on what the human was caught by. A really cautious human could maybe hide out for a while. It's meant to be a fairly hostile region (It is technically Hell after all), but some sub-regions are less dangerous than others. One of the story ideas I have is a follow-up to a Halloween story I will eventually finish. That has a separated soldier (or rather mechanic) find their way back to Earth. I'll probably have him succeed, but he'll likely have help.

A lot depends on whereabouts in the Dominion they are, and what level of power the succubi (and other daemons) are around them. Some can fill an area with aphrodisiac gases and toxins that incapacitate with pleasure. Others can invade dreams. I don't think any would spawn right on top, but if there was any "leakage" to arousal, that would attract succubi like blood in the water attracts sharks.

  6. Do the succubi have their own "kid's story" that they tell to younger succubi that are human stories but changed to fit their twisted sexual taste? Like instead of The Boy Who Cried Wolf, its The Man Who Cried Succubus.

    1. Haven't really figured out the society and ecosystem. Kids in erotica is a big no-no, so that would like include kid succubi as well. I think they'd be more alien than that. Maybe they'd still have their own legends and stories, though.

  7. I'm getting email notifications with questions that aren't appearing here, so I'm guessing comments are randomly getting eaten again. I think they're from the same person and about Locked in with a Succubus, so I'll answer the ones I have received email notifications for here:

Inari chose Nicole as a last resort option.

Human prostitutes wouldn't work as George is a stubborn "never pay for it" type. He needs a bit of supernatural seduction to get him past that hurdle. (And he does want it - just too stubborn to take that option.)

The werewolves at the resort are still a type of lust daemon (probably a fringe one). They wouldn't be able to control themselves. Neither would the other options Inari has used in previous stories.

Nicole is suitable... for reasons that will become clearer as I write more stories with her in. Even with her it was pretty close at one point.

As for why Inari wanted to help George. She has plans...

  8. Regarding how Verde treats Phil compared to Rosa (Verde certainly has girlfriend potential while Rosa is definitely more "friends with benefits" in attitude), is Verde in general normally as "nice" as she is with Phil toward other summoners or previous summoners?

Or is it more like she treats Phil nicely, while previous or other summoners don't/didn't quite get the nice, kind auccubus?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. She has a reputation for being very nice to her "masters". To the point the others criticise her for getting too attached.

      Delete
    2. Is Phil one of the longest surviving "masters" she has had?

What about for the other 4 succubi, has Phil been their longest survivor yet?

      Delete
    3. They've been around for a while, so have probably had masters that have had access to them for a natural human lifespan. What 'masters' are in that universe is not quite what it is in the usual warlock sense. The succubi are on call to other warlocks in other worlds, so Phil doesn't have exclusivity, but he is the only one currently roaming their castle (maybe, unless the plot calls for it to be otherwise).

      Delete
  9. That makes me curious about the other neutral monster girls. So far, we got the snake girl, werewolf girls, and the Asian massager, so who are these other neutral succubi and monster girls that work for Inari that haven't got stories yet? Do you have them in your notes?

Also why is Madam Voluptula by herself? Why doesn't she have ties to Inari?

Would Inari oppose Kootnz and the witch girl Amanda?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I have notes, but not everything is planned out. As for the neutral monster girls and succubi, as Nicole mentions in one of her stories, while the lust daemons are fairly powerful, they are vastly outnumbered on human turf. This means there is a survivorship bias that favours keeping a low profile and low body count. They all have different personalities as well, so some are "nicer" to humans than others.

I'd have to check my notes on Madam Voluptula. She's either another contact Inari uses from time to time or similar to Nicole in that she doesn't want to be involved in Inari's plan.

Can't answer the last question. That will be revealed in future stories.

  10. Hey ME Hydra, just got done reading Succubus Summoning and looked at some of your posts and while I enjoy your story, I have a bit of an issue with your setting. Let me explain.

Why do you have male daemons? If you are writing what you find sexy, then why not design the world to fit your kink? From your responses, you stated you will not include incubi and male monsters are hardly involved in anything, so why even have them? Yes, you stated you want them as background noise, but it would be better if you just cut them out period. Be like Monster Girl Quest, or Kenkou Cross’s Monster Girl Encyclopedia where all monsters were female.

You could design a Hell where all monsters are hot succubi and monster girls, but you didn’t. You say it would be a good time in Hell, but I disagree. The problem with your assumption is that your “sex Hell” isn’t populated by just hot succubi and lusty monster girls, but rape-y plants that feed on semen, male sex daemons, and other abominations. The most fucked up daemon being the leech daemon that the witch rides on top. I mean come on bro, what the hell was that? Don’t say you find dick girls and furries gross, but the giant leech-like monster that does not look like a girl whatsoever sucking your dick?

If I was you, I would have just cut out all the male daemons and monsters and followed KC’s style of “monsters are all female, males are all humans” style. After all, succubi and monster girls are your kink, boot the Chad incubi.

    1. Male daemons are a necessity to maintain good worldbuilding. If there is a Dominion of Lust as a separate plane of "Hell", for it to seem real it would need to cater to all lusts. In theory, I could have compartmentalised that further into separate sub-dominions with one being only hot succubi and monster girls. I prefer the more generalised approach. That's probably down to the horror side of me. I like a bit of edge to keep readers on their toes. If the setting grows in popularity, I don't mind other writers playing in it, and if they have different fetishes and audiences to cater to, they can do that if they want. One person's horror is another person's pleasure and that seems a neat setting with a lot of options.

I thought of the leech daemon as a sort of sex toy in the control of the witch. It was meant to be a more fantastical take on a typical dominatrix scenario where they milk the man with some kind of machine. YMMV of course. I like to throw the odd weirder idea in. They don't always work for everyone.

Futa is just blegh to me. I don't think it's bad or wrong. It's just a turn-off for me personally. There would be lust daemons that cater to that, but again, that's something I can only hint at happening in the background because I can't write erotica if the idea doesn't do anything for me.

  11. Thank you for answering me, ME Hydra. By letting any monster goes, you are actually giving everyone a choice to have their kink. I may love KC, but I dislike his anti-gay fluff about a man must turn into a female succubus if he likes another man; it’s quite restricting. So the irony here is that your sex Hell is more liberal while KC is Based and Redpilled XD. Anyone, I got some gripes about Phil.

Our Hero Phil does go to quite a lot of places in Succubus Summoning, but the problem is that he doesn’t go there by his own will and choice. Let’s use Infinity War as a good example: Ironman and his group goes to Titan to fight Thanos head on, Captain America and his team goes to Wakanda to destroy the Mind Stone, and Thor goes to the Dwarf planet to forge a weapon that can kill Thanos. Wherever we go, it’s always because the Hero or Heroes are driving the story there.

In Succubus Summoning 101 however, Phil isn’t really doing the driving, he’s bound, gagged, and thrown in the trunk while the succubi drive the car. He’s being driven by the story; he doesn’t have a goal he’s really chasing. Phil claims that he wants to “survive” but doesn’t do anything to distant himself from the succubi and leg it far away from the magic college. What’s his reasoning for staying there? His friend died, everyone dies around him, and he almost bit the dust MUTIPLE times. Is his boring normal life that bad that he’s willing to risk his soul eaten, or suffering a fate worse than death at such a young age?

He’s just an inactive passenger who goes to places or perform actions because he’s told to do so, or because he’s taken there by others.

-Getting sent to the magic college because he could do magic. (warlock teacher wanted him to join)
-Summoning Rosa and Verde. (his friend wanted to summon them and egged and pressured on a cautious Phil to help him even though he didn’t want to do it)
-Getting forced into Hell and made a sex toy for a short period. (by succubi)
-Was dragged to the human bar. (by Rosa)
-Was dragged to Cerluea’s “dinner date” in the Glutton dimension. (by Cerluea)
-Was forced into the giant slime girl’s dimension. (By Cerluea who shoved him into her world)
-Was forced to bang the lizard girls while Rosa and Verde killed a few guys in the college. (Shoved into their home by Rosa)
-Was forced to fight against a spider daemon for a test. (by succubi)

How do we even know that Phil is a full-fledged warlock? Cerluea says that he overcame his sins so he’s by Hell’s law a “master class” warlock. Hmm, I don’t buy that. If that’s what a warlock needs to do, then the classes would have been designed to do that. He didn’t even stay a year at the college and the succubi are already telling him that he’s already at advanced level? Is it because they are giving him knowledge that the other daemons aren’t telling their warlocks?

    1. To be fair regarding Phil, I think the issue is that he was a fledgling warlock who got way in over his head.

I kind of get the feeling he's not used to plainly commanding people around.
So in some ways, he allows his succubi to sort of run roughshod over him a tad.

It also doesn't help that he was still a relatively mid-tier student who is suddenly having to deal with succubi that seem to know a hell of a lot more about what is going on in general.

      Delete
    2. Phil has sort of moved up from fledgling, but he's still a novice. I get the criticisms about him mostly reacting. That's normally an indicator of weak writing, but as the succubi are designed to cater to mostly femdom fantasies, it's inevitable that they're going to be throwing him around a lot.

It does give a nice character arc to work with, as I'm probably going to make Phil more pro-active as the series develops (when I get back to it!). He'll still get tossed around by the succubi, because that's what they do, but I am planning to take a more pro-active role for the overall story (just as soon as I've figured out some things). The stories will mostly lean to the femdom succubi/monster girls side of things, but I'll let Phil have some opportunities to unleash some power.

  13. I’ve been very invested in the mobster story surrounding Teddy, Herbert, and the others, but it is getting confusing on what’s going on. What’s going on in the Herbert’s Summer House one? Why did Teddy recruit those youngsters who don’t normally get a job like that? Why are they so suddenly “understaffed” that they need to rely on low level grunts? Is Koontz wrecking their organization with his succubi? What happened to Big Bri?

I want to get into the mobster lore, but it’s just been random one-shots focusing on other things. We go from Guard Duty, Ways to Break a Man, and now Herbert’s Summer House.

I also think it's still bullshit that the mobsters and politicians know about the succubi and daemons while the goddamn army/miliary doesn’t have a clue what’s going on and have not formed a secret branch (ala SCP Foundation) to hunt them down to kill them if they are too dangerous, or to capture and study them.

    1. I try to fill those details in as I go. Most of the shorts are windows into a larger plot, but as the protagonists of those stories are red shirts with low life-expectancy, they, and by extension the reader, only see glimpses of what's going on.

I wanted to avoid the usual military conspiracies and SCP- or X-files- style top-secret agencies. They tend to fall apart on closer inspection. There is knowledge floating around and some people/groups are adept at utilising it (eg Koontz), but nobody has the full picture.

  14. The way I see it. Mr Hydra's Lust Dominion is like Touhou Project in which while male characters exist in the world, 95% of the cast are female characters and focuses on them.

Yes incubi and other male sex daemons and monsters exist in Hell, but they are not the focus. Hydra is like ZUN who created Touhou Project that has WAY MORE female characters than males. 30 female characters and way more, meanwhile the male characters are just background noise and the only male character that gets development is a dude that comes later and even he's not really important.

And like Hydra, most of Zun's characters are non human females (Yokai).

Now I want a Oni like succubus that likes getting drunk and will force a dude to get drunk with her and hey bang. Doesn't help that a female Oni is just a woman with horns.

    1. Drunk Oni could be a fun scenario. It's also another monster girl I don't use. I still need to figure out a proper kitsune scenario. One of my long-suffering patrons has been asking for one for months.

  15. Actually I just did a quick look on Touhou wiki and Jesus lord, they are over 180 characters in Touhou Project. There is only FOUR developed male characters in the story/world which means, there's 176 female characters! Holy shit!

I wonder if Hydra keeps track of all his succubi and lust daemons that he has created throughout ALL his work.

    1. Wow. I know of the Touhou project, but I don't know too much about it other than it's a bullet-hell franchise with lots of cute anime girls. 176 cute anime girls is impressive! Zun's obviously been building that for a while!

Then I look at my stuff and realise I might not be that far behind. HoHH is now up to 50 harlot scenarios, so maybe 60 characters including NPCs and multi-harlot scenarios. The H-space bestiary project got to 35ish monster girls. Maybe 15-20ish from the Succubus Summoning series. I think I have close to 100 short stories as well. That's probably a fairly big wiki if anyone is ever inclined to make it! :D
