Sandwiched by Slimes: You Choose the Ending

Yep, I totally got carried away on this one.  I blame it on the two slime girls having far too much fun playing with their food.  I'm currently over 8K words with possibly another 1-2K to go.  Other than the story being later than planned I'm happy with it going long rather than short.  You, the reader, will definitely get your 99c worth from this one (more so if you like slime girls and enjoyed stories like "Jackson in HRPG-World 3" and "A Real-Life Goo Girl").

Anyway, I'm coming up to the end and interestingly there are two paths I can take.  I could follow the route of a happy ending where the protagonist escapes or is let go from their sticky clutches (after being given many happy endings of the other kind).  Or I could take the other path to a sexy-but-terminal Bad End where the protagonist has their life and soul slurped out.  Oddly, I have no real preference.  When I first came up with the idea I leaned one way, but as I was writing the story I thought the other option might also work.

Then I had a mischievous idea.  Why not open it up to a little bit of audience participation?  So let's have some fun.  Let me know in the comments below if you'd rather this story had a Happy Ending or a Bad End.

Interestingly, this decision will likely have further ramifications.  I'm very flexible when it comes to planning my longer story arcs.  I think of characters as game pieces placed on a board.  I remember the status and position of the pieces at the end of each story and that often acts as inspiration for future stories.  "Sandwiched by Slimes" is set in one of my existing universes.  The characters from here will likely pop up again, but I haven't yet locked in their roles.  They could be antagonists or allies.  The path taken here will likely have a say in determining how I use them in the future.

Maybe.

Sometimes it's the metaphorical act of tossing a coin that determines the decision rather than the outcome of that coin toss.  If the coin comes up tails and you wished it had come up heads then you know the heads decision was the one you wanted to take all along.  For this reason I reserve the right to completely ignore all results and go with the path I think is right.

This also has the happy side effect of avoiding any spoilers.  Sure, the vote might go for Happy Ending, but you won't know for sure I acted on it until you read the story.

As it is kind of dickish to give readers a choice and then completely ignore it, I will penalize myself if I take this option.  I'll make one of the stories in my current stockpile available to read for free on Literotica.  (This will also have the happy side effect of forcing me to write more new stories to ensure my collections have the requisite mix of exclusive material).

So let's embrace some true #ChaosWriting.  Thumbs up or thumbs down.  Happy Ending or Bad End.  Let me know in the comments below.

UPDATE
After 24 hours we have:
Happy Ending - 9
Bad End - 4
(and a few I wasn't sure on, but was going to use as a tiebreaker in favour of happy in the event of a tie.)

The public have spoken and it's a thumbs up.  However, Caesar is capricious and cruel and may not necessarily follow the will of the people.

I'll see if I can get the completed story out next week.

  1. The bad end makes the story for me, so my vote goes there.

  2. With all due respect to your skill as a writer - don't you worry that nixing the ending you had in mind and leaving it up to popular vote you run a certain risk? The risk, I mean, of the audience choosing the ending the story wasn't intended for, and it feeling a bit grafted on?

Eager to hear your thoughts. Your writing process is a source of intrigue of its own.

For what it's worth, chipping in for the happy ending, because it makes for more potential.

    1. It should be okay. At the branch the story is at it could go either way and still work out okay. I added the opt-out clause as insurance just in case I write the popular vote ending and find out it doesn't fit the story. It's the longer term ramifications for other stories I find interesting. Once I've got the current projects out of the way I might come back to this way of plot advancement and try it out on a larger scale.

  3. The last guy didn't get away, so it's only fair that this one has a chance at life. Thumbs up!

  4. There is nothing in goo girl canon that makes them dangerous, the demonizing of them like old fashion succubii is recent and due to using them as monsters
in some video games. In most vid games the real "bad end" was being 'stuck' w/them for life as a mate, lol

    1. I dunno. There was plenty of old goo girl stuff that plays up the vore angle. MGE canon favors "eternal mate" angle while MGQ canon has both if I remember right. Mine differ from the usual interpretations in that the slime girls are much more more intelligent and also (sometimes) have similar life/soul drain-thru-sex abilities as succubi.

  7. If its not to much trouble why not both?

I do prefer your stories happy endings with a twist though...

  8. Usually I'm a big supporter of your dark/bad ends, buuuuut...having the guy get his soul sucked out seems to be getting a little routine. I'm leaning towards the happy ending just for the sake of variety.

Maybe there's a way to have a mixed good/bad ending. I like the idea of a guy living, but being physically addicted to the succubus/monster girl and periodically needs to visit her for servicing (kind of like 'Don't Fuck The Flowers'.) Maybe that's not quite 'bad' enough...

Ideally my preference is "why not both?", just have the split at a certain point, and then have a different section for each ending. I'd even be willing to pay a bit more for that. But if we can only have one, I'm all for the bad end.

  12. I like all the "both" comments here, happy in that he doesn't die, but give a bad mixture/side effect into it. Something different from what you've done.

At some point I'd like to see something with that one horror story you wrote with the nazi succubus that got away.

  15. I'd say it depends on the slimes. If they are rather playful, I'd prefer a happy end, if they're more the dominating type, a bad end would be the obvious choice ;).

  16. If I'm honest, if I thought it was going to have a Good End I wouldn't buy the story. Please kill the bugger.

  17. Okay, I'll take the cut off point at here.

  18. (past the vote time)
I think the Happy End (survives) could be for the best if only for the chance of a returning victim. Kind of like Jackson, you're interested to see what kind of sticky situation they get in.

  19. Why not write both endings and have the user choose which one they want to read by clicking the link of their choice?

We promise not to cheat and read both ;-)

  20. I usually prefer a bad end for this kind of stories for a simple reason... it's fair.

The way I see it, the protagonist gets to have an absolutely amazing, breathtaking sex with the monster girl... something he could not experience with a fellow mortal.

I feel that some payment must be made for that... and usually, it is the devil girl getting her pretty little hands on his immortal soul.

He gets to feel an unearthly sexual pleasure and in exchange, he surrenders the rest of his existence/afterlife to her whims.

Now, if she lets him keep his soul and life, I still expect her to be getting something out of the deal... she ain't no charity. (although, succubus doing something like "Pro bono hours" sound interesting :) )

I know that many people like when the chap survives the ordeal, so go for it!! But personally I don't know...

I mean, fucking a succubus and not even giving her your soul in the end is like fucking a hooker and not paying her for it afterwards. It's just mean :D

  21. know its past the vote but wanted to put my two cents in: why not just both endings in the first the official ending and then put an alt ending for thoughs that want to see the other path.

Also kinda want to see how you would do dark ending for 'innocent type' monster girls you've creatures that are Dark or fully capable of ending there partners life but was wondering how you go about making a dark ending for something like(example:sheep girls who cry wolf to get a 'brave' soul to protect them, they reward his protection by having there way with him till he's exhausted then the girls give him to the wolf girl as food for her protection) or something like that something not really traditional that you would think would have a bad ending.

  22. Seemingly bad ending, but then semi-good?
    Locked-in with a succubus- esque?

  23. Just put out 2x 99cent stories. One for bad and one for good.
