Update

Not playing Doom.  :)

Would like to as it looks and sounds amazing, but I don't have a machine with the oompth to run it.

The reason I've skipped a couple of weeks is the writing brain temporarily threw a cog.  It happens.  Usually I operate on an Advancing Wall of Doom (okay, self-imposed deadlines) approach to keep me focused on getting serials and short stories out.  This normally works aside from those occasions when the Advancing Wall of Doom gets too close, I put too much pressure on myself and the writing part of my brain locks up.

Nothing serious.  Normally I take a week off for a breather and then the writing machine starts running smoothly again.

The next H-space bestiary story is nearly ready.  I was hoping to have it up this week, but it ran over 1.5K words (again!) and isn't quite finished.  It should be up next week and with a bit of luck I'll start hitting my targets again.

  1. Bate stops becoming fresh meat for H-space wolves when?

  2. Undecided. My aim was to do a 1-2K word fragment/story a week for the year and I want to keep as close to that as possible.

Main problem is there is an overall story arc which also coincides with another overall story arc. Some of the stories will reveal more about what's going on, but at the end of the year I'll likely drop the bestiary project into an ongoing, but less frequent project I'll add new profiles to as and when I get the inspiration for new monster/demon girls.

    1. I see...
...may I request your black brain cells to think something about nekos? Deadbeat topic, yeah, but please think about it if possible.

    2. I have been a little neglectful of the furry (and feathered) monster girls. I have a novel idea with an adorable neko in it, but it's one of five I've written the first chapter for and need to find time to have a good run at!

    1. Hoping to have a solid run at it later in the week once I've got the next few weeks of the h-space bestiary lined up.

  6. Hi M.E. Hydra! I hope this isn't weird or unwelcome, but I've enjoyed your stories and books very much over the years, and you've inspired me to write something along similar lines, so I wanted to alert you to it!

    Here's part 1 on literotica: https://www.literotica.com/s/a-brief-stop-in-purgatory

Part 2 is also posted. Anyway, I've taken so much pleasure from your work--I hope you enjoy this! No response necessary.

    1. This is good stuff! Great setup and seduction. Keep it up and I think you'll have a popular serial there.

    1. Problem is raw power. Most triple-A PC releases need a proper, up-to-date dedicated gaming rig to run them and I only have a decidedly middle-of-the-road laptop. It's not too bad as I tend to prefer the indier (Darkest Dungeon-style indie rather than pretentious-vomit indie) games anyway. Doom and Blood Bowl 2 are the only two games I've felt like I've been missing out on for the past couple of years, and I'll probably pick up the latter for PS4 when I pick one up as the reward I've promised myself once the next Succubus Summoning ebook is shipped to the publishers. :)
