The public version of House of Hellish Harlots has been updated to v0.043. You can play it here:

You may notice I've skipped v0.042. This is because Cyane was originally v0.042 and Lagona Voluptes v0.043. I was feeling ahead of schedule so I combined them into one release.
I think this is also the first release after I restructured the project and broke it down into separate modules. As far as I know it should still work the same as before, but let me know if you run into anything screwy.
As for the new harlots, this release has a slightly more vorish theme as both will happily eat the player up if they're not careful.
Cyane
Cyane is my take on a jellyfish monster girl. She was originally an idea for a level-drain monster for a HRPG, where she'd trap a player in her bell and slowly suck out their "levels". I thought she'd fit in HoHH as well, so I gave her a scenario. She's very ladylike for a jellyfish. She respects the Madam's rules and doesn't eat gentlemen.

Lagona Voluptes
Lagona Voluptes is a fleshpot pitcher plant girl. Similar to the usual carnivorous plant monster girl, but her pitcher is a little comfier to be inside. I try to vary the characters of the girls, so Lagona is a bit eccentric compared to the usual cold seductive predator succubi. Despite this, she's a very dangerous harlot that won't show up until the later rounds in the finished game. It should be pretty easy to figure out what you need to survive her though.

I'm curious, will Nyte go after the Scrote for his underhanded tactic of his succubi trying to kill Phil and drain Verde? If she got so pissed at the teen warlock girl sending a spider to kill Phil, wouldn't she be pissed about this as well, especially with Verde being assaulted.
ReplyDeleteIsn't she all about fairness or what not? Or she can't go after the Scrote because he is a more powerful and experienced warlock?
That's probably going to be a longer arc. It's likely a combination of him being more powerful or more useful to other daemonic powers.

ReplyDeleteI don't like how their structure is. A warlock isn't supposed to learn offensive spells early, but summoning a damn daemon that will most likely back stab the warlock is ok? The warlocks should be taught combat spells first, how to use weapons, and then summon a daemon.
After all, if their daemon goes on a rampage and the warlock doesn't have any attacks or restraining spells to subdue it or kill it, the warlock is screwed.
About Nyte, she is shown to be quite unstoppable. But what if a powerful human warlock was in front of her and he wanted to fight her in her fighting ring. If the man beats down Nyte, would she then act friendly and would be attracted to the warlock like Phil?
It's meant to be fairly incompetent owing to the warlock world not really understanding how their contracts work.
DeleteWhile that aspect of the worldbuilding is not finalised, I'm probably going to run with a warlock needing to have a daemon before they can do magic. That means the first step is they need to summon the daemon, even though there's a very high chance it can go horribly wrong.
Nyte would definitely like a man that gives her a good fight.
You know what I just realized Hydra from looking at all your stories. There is none about The West. You know? Cowboys, horses, six shooter revolvers, and all the works. I wonder how a succubus would function in an old Western, like in Fistful of Dollars that Clint Eastwood was in.

Also I have a question. Since there are different Earths at play here, is there a possibility that humans from different Earths can be in the House? Like can a black man from the 1960s be seating at the table of a white cowboy from the 1800s?
I'm not familiar enough with the Wild West setting. I like the Weird West genre and think there's definitely potential to put succubi and other monster girls in it. One of my patrons is working on a story series in a wild west setting and I've been giving them a few tips. I think the first part is already up on Literotica.
DeleteCowboy vs Succubus would be fairly cool. The obvious take would be to subvert the Man-with-no-name trope. I'm a little reluctant to write those subvert-the-hero stories at the moment. It would be nice if Hollywood would stop doing that in most of their movies so people weren't thoroughly sick of the trope. Maybe in a few years from now.
The House of Hellish Harlots is definitely doing some twisty things with time and dimensions. I don't know how far it would warp it. The Portly Gentleman is implied to be from another time period, but he's a special case where he has powerful backers from the Dominion of Greed, but not powerful enough to bust him out. He's been trapped in the House a lot longer than he realises. As for the rest, I don't know. I'd prefer to keep them all from roughly the same time period to avoid the complexity of having characters from different eras talking to each other. It might be best to have the Portly Gentleman be the only anomaly in that regard.

Delete2. I have a crazy sci-fi idea I need to write at some point. Again, not a Vs. story, but it has spaceships and a very weird monster girl and succubi.
3. I know someone working on this. I think it could make a good Vs. story, no solid ideas for it yet though.
4. Before I moved away from the superhero short stories (they need to be in their own collection) I had an idea for an edgy 90s hero getting comprehensibly slimed by a comfy slime girl. The superhero short story ideas are very much on the backburner - maybe a collection of them at some point.
5. I'd probably subvert it. The Big Game Hunter likely wouldn't see the threat until too late. Another option might be to have the hunter witness one of his party or (better) a friendly rival get taken down and then go on a different sort of hunt for revenge (I might let the hero win that one).

Not sure torture is the right word. The physical sensations might not be all that bad. The real horror is knowing you're trapped and what it is that is you is slowly being eroded away. And you're also with countless other souls that have been longer and have probably gone insane from this knowledge. Being absorbed by Nurse Honey feels very good at the moment, and then very bad for an eternity afterwards.
DeleteI do need to do more with Verde's garden, and because of the weird way the dominions work, it could quite possibly push into other areas and trap other souls (eg H-space soldiers).
You know how the female NPCs like Elegant Lady, Nurse Honey, the Doctoress, and Buxom witch all have an option of asking them for sex? It's making me wonder, what will the Madam say if the male PC says that he wants her for sex? Will she act flirty and give off a strong sexual aura like Elegant Lady?
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit scared of writing her scene. She is the ultimate courtesan/whore and knows everything when it comes to sexual technique and tricks. I still haven't decided whether she'll have an NPC sex scene like the others (eventually), or show up as an endboss.
DeleteI just realized that Rosa or Verde can use the Globe of Silence to stop the Skyrim Dragonborn from using the dragon shouts. So if he was fighting them, they can stop his Unrelenting Force shout from tearing them asunder.

DeleteI think magic should interact in a way that's dependant on power. eg a low-level spell shouldn't completely negate several higher power spells. That way a Globe of Silence would shut down regular noise and similarly powered abilities, but a really powerful ability would bust right through it.
What if the guy offers pizza to Rosa, Nyte, Nurse Honey, and Cerluea? The human tells them that they don't need to eat humans and that they should just go out and have a pizza party. What will be the their reaction to the offer, Me Hydra?

ReplyDeleteThe implication is it's Rosa, but I left enough wiggle room to make it someone else if I needed to. It being Rosa is a fairly safe assumption. It's pretty much the same move as what Rosa does to Phil at the end of SS101. Atomica incorporated it within her wrestling gimmick.
