I've been getting artwork of harlots commissioned as I look to take House of Hellish Harlots away from being a text-only game and give it actual graphics.

To help fund commissioning all this art (there are 75 harlots in the House currently and the final number will be around 100), I've created higher Patreon tiers ($5 and $10).
As a reward for subscribing at this tier, patrons will get a first look at the new art as it comes in as well as access to the raw scripts and my behind-scenes thoughts on both the lore of the character as well as some insight in how I came to write them.

Yes, I know there is a heavy amount of Patreon shilling going on in this post. But in this case virtually all of the higher-tier money is going towards paying for art for every harlot character in House of Hellish Harlots.
Imagine spending money on art when you can generate equivalent or better pictures with AI. lmao.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really any particular side when it comes to AI art. I've found it fine for creating generic backgrounds and portraits, and very poor for creating hentai succubi and monster girls (especially monster girls).
DeleteIt's weird that it's become such a polarising topic. I see it as something similar to stock images or clipart - a cheap stopgap fix that's fine in places (where people weren't going to hire artists anyway).
I don't really understand the "LOL, why pay someone for art?" or "AI is taking our jobs" arguments. It just seems like the usual online tribalism bullshit where people pick a side and yell at the other.
Both have a place IMHO.
I'm saying lol because I hate artists. Bunch of unreliable, inconsistent, expensive pricks. Unable to keep to deadlines, unable to compromise on their artistic visions, and generally a bunch of socialist hippies (especially those that have liberal arts as a degree). I'm glad AI is burning their careers.
DeleteMy biggest trigger is that artistic professions have historically gotten more leeway about failing o meet deadlines, if "they aren't feeling it, the creative juices aren't there, it'll be done when it's done". AI competition will weed out those trash artists in a jiffy.
My experience has been different. Maybe I've been fortunate, but when I've commissioned an artist they've been professional and I've been pleased with the results.
DeleteI guess it varies from artist to artist. I certainly won't be shedding a tear when AI weeds out the type you mention. I think there's still a place for artists that are professional and do good work, and I think they'll probably be okay.
I don't fear AI replacing me for writing. With a bit of tweaking you could maybe get an AI to write a generic succubus story (assuming it hasn't been lobotomised to ban all smexy stuff), but that's all it will be - generic.
I don't think good creators have much to fear from AI. As for the rest, well technology marches on. Plenty of careers have been rendered obsolete by advances in technology. I think the good people will survive, the hacks and not-as-good-as-they-think-they-ares will be weeded out and it will eventually end up being a complementary tool rather than a full replacement.
What if someome makes an AI and a lust demon gets a hold of the souce codet and makes it more you know...just before it then it becomes self aware. From skynet to succnet ;)
DeleteIt's a possible story idea. Someone trains an AI sex doll or something on the more extreme succubus erotica and she becomes actually dangerous as a result. I think I'd want to bring in a supernatural element to add some ambiguity. Is it just rogue programming, or is the machine actually possessed?

I've got the artist working through all the smotherbuses at the moment (Assphyxia, Mamilla, Bebe and Ygolia are done). Will be a while until Panta and Succuba as there's another two factions ahead of them.
Not sure why you think it's a troll. I'm pretty sincere about my dislike of artists and love of AI art.

ReplyDeleteI've pretty much locked in all the spare slots now (although admittedly I still have to write about 20 of them!). It's intended as an open-ended project, so I think I'll always be adding new harlots and faction to it.
DeleteAss absorption is an interesting idea. No reason why a succubus couldn't do with her ass what Eve and Zuripai do with their breasts.

Capramendes kind of got supplanted by the blue-skinned suckerboob as both have the nipple draining. She (or another lust daemon like her) could maybe have a role. Maybe as punishment for men that try and run away. Someone has to produce those suspicious Glass of Milk?s :D

ReplyDeleteSo i was watching Chainsaw Man the other day (great anime) and it has demon-like monsters in it called Devils and they can manifest as creatures of myth of concepts, like the Darkness Devil, Bat Devil, or Gun Devil. The Devils are created by human fear, worship, and belief and a human can enter a contract with a Devil to gain its power/help.
Now when the human gains help from a Devil, they need to sacrifice their flesh, spirit, or lifespan to get it to attack enemies, or use its power.
Examples:
A man lost his sight and sense of touch when he used the Future Devil's power to see into the future.
A woman's body was completely "consumed" from using too much of the Ghost Devil's power, vanishing from thin air and dying.
A woman can summon a Giant Snake Devil that can instantly swallow and destroy anything it consumes, but each time it is summoned, a finger nail will b painfully ripped off her finger.
What Im getting at is that can any normal humans form contracts with any of the succubi and deamons? Can a normal guy that is not a warlock go up to Verde, Rosa, Cerluea, and Nyte and ask them too form a contract with him? Im interested to see what Nyte and Cerluea's reaction would be? Especially if the guy promises he'll give away some of his lifespan to them?

DeleteHaven't had a chance to watch/read Chainsaw Man yet. Heard it's good.
I've also left the contract details open for the moment. In Phil's world, the magic comes from the familiar. What the familiar gets is an anchor to keep them in the world. My daemons don't really require much other than some proof of competency. (Maybe some other factors as well - I like to keep the lore open until I'm required to use it).
The succubi would probably just trick anyone trying to use that idea to form a contract. Likely suggest the person given them a semen sample as proof of dedication, then draining them completely for fun.
Love the art and I think she's sexy, but I cannot stand the fact that she'll choke my ass if I do her. I love my oxygen thank you very much, ma'am.

DeleteAnon, about the Devil contracts from Chainsaw Man, they aren't the same like the daemons from Hydra's Hell. Phil is a warlock and he lost his best friend, and Verde and friends nearly sucked him to death a few times.
ReplyDeleteThe whole point of Phil being held hostage in the succubus castle was basically a test the succubi put him through to see if he was worthy of becoming important enough to invest their time and energy in and not be just another yummy "snack" to eat whole and forget about.
Not to mention, Nyte and Cerluea take "vetting" a warlock very seriously with Cerluea nearly shattering Phil's mind and Nyte torturing his dick. That's probably why Rosa and Verde did everything in their power to have a much fun with Phil and keep him for themselves as they would have quickly lost their "sex toy" if Cerluea or Nyte saw him as unworthy.
