Let's Play DramaraQuest V! part 10

This is a continuation of my playthrough of the DramaraQuest V hentai parody JRPG of Dragon Quest 5.  The first part is here.

Currently we’re off to the ice palace to find a flute that will end the permanent winter and bring about spring in the fairy realm.  That’s the official line.  Really we’re looking for excuses to be screwed by lusty succubi and other monster girls.

Hey, at least I’m honest about my flaws.

The ice palace ends up being a sort of inverse TARDIS (i.e smaller on the inside).  It’s a fairly short section.

There are three wandering mooks on the first floor.  The only new one amongst them is a blonde version of the succubus that cropped up on the second level of the first dungeon.  If you liked that succubus but would have preferred it if she was blonde, the game doth provide.

There are a couple of slippy-slidey ice rooms and then we’re right into the throne room with the ice queen boss sitting on a throne.

Yes, she has the flute.  No, she isn’t going to give it up as she likes winter too much.  So . . . fight!

Or rather . . . fuck!

Unlike the other fights this one doesn’t require too much effort to throw.  It’s actually reasonably challenging to win.  The ice queen has some kind of ice attack that annihilates Luka-clone's defence stat.  After that she starts hitting like a truck.  A truck covered in pretty lace and silk and with a fresh coat of glossy lipstick on the grille, but still a truck.

How easy the fight is depends on how long it takes her to get off that first ice debuff.  After that I’m forced to alternate between attack and heal, and hope my MP doesn’t run out before her HP.

Again the Bad End is sadly not too memorable, being more of the same moves from the fight.  This is a game more focused on putting the sexiness into the battle-fuck part, which is fair enough for a battle-fuck game.  It’s also possible I’m missing a lot from the language barrier.  Machine translation not being the most accurate of things.

After we win the fight the ice queen, fully satisfied I guess (This is a battle-fuck game after all!), hands over the flute.  Then there’s a joke as either Luka-clone or the queen tries to use a chimera wing (the teleport-back-to-town item of choice for the Dragon Quest series) and Luka-clone is sent crashing into the ceiling.  The same joke crops up in the dungeons of Dragon Quest if I remember right.  After much jolly hilarity and possible skull fractures the ice queen reveals a teleporter that takes us right back to the fairy village.

Hey, I had no problem traipsing through the land of snow and boobies.  No problem at all.

Back at the fairy village we hand the flute over to the fairy queen and lo, spring arrives.  And for our reward the fairy queen . . .

. . . jumps our bones.  This shouldn’t have been much of a surprise given what kind of game this is.  The artwork looks very similar to the queen from the last DramaraQuest game.  It’s set up as a fight, but is really a H-scene in disguise.  It doesn’t matter if you win or lose and the fairy queen appears in the NPC section of the recollection room afterwards.

After that it's back to the basement of the inn, where we'll carry on next time.

Let's Play DramaraQuest V! part 9

This is a continuation of my playthrough of the DramaraQuest V hentai parody JRPG of Dragon Quest 5.  The first part is here.

After roaming the icy wastes, we found somewhere that might hold the key to the castle/ice palace in the north.

There’s not much on the first level on the dungeon other than a dodgy-looking dude in a furnished cave.  I think dodgy dude tells us that the key is here, but first we need to find the key to the two locked doors with chests behind them to the south.  There’s a staircase up in the northeast.  Time to go down and see what delights are waiting for us on the second floor.

First up is a new monster girl – some kind of gothic imp/succubus.

She moves her hips in a circular pattern like the stone stature girl.  Again a simple but effective use of limited sprite animation.  She also likes buffing herself with some sort of flame.  Hmm, hot stuff.  Can we take you outside with us for the trek through the snowy wastes?

After that the inevitable palette swaps begin as we get new thorn girl:

New weasel-snake girl:

New worm girl.

Now palette swaps are a feature of the game being parodied and are also a feature of the RPG genre in general.  It’s an easy way to bulk out the encounter list while keeping down memory size (important for old games) and/or art budgets (important for new games).  Personally I don’t think they work well in hentai games, especially monster girl hentai games, where the encounters are (and should be) far more important and detailed than they would be in a mainstream, “normal” RPG.

That’s just my opinion anyway.  For other people different hair or skin colour might turn an encounter they weren’t too fussed about into prime fap material.  Rule 34 is the one rule to rule all.

For a normal RPG a palette-swapped monster usually has different stats and movesets (because the player characters have ground up to significantly higher levels and need to be given fatter stats to battle against for the game to remain challenging (I could make a snarky comment here about JRPGs and “challenging” but then Etrian Odyssey came up to tap me on the shoulder and now I’m hunched up in the corner going wibble)).  The sprite is basically a coloured blob overlaying a list of stats and movesets.  I think a hentai game developer could get around this by giving the new monster girl different sexy moves or vary the Bad Ends.  Unfortunately in this case none of them appear to be significantly different to their original incarnations, so it feels a little like excess padding.

Welcome to the dungeon of the palette swaps.  They could have removed this whole section and the game wouldn’t have lost anything.

Sorry, hot gothic imp/succubus.  It’s not you it’s your friends.

There’s a stairway up into one of the treasure rooms.  The first chest contains the key to open the doors.  The second contains treasure book(?).  I’m assuming this is the key item to open the doors to the ice palace.

And speaking of ice palaces, that’s where we’ll be off next time.

Let's Play DramaraQuest V! part 8

Hmm, another damn pause.  Been a rotten month for writing unfortunately.  Unsurprising, given what’s going on in my life.  Sigh.  Anyway, that’s boring and not why you’re here.  This is the continuation of the DramaraQuest V – a weirdly faithful porn parody of the Dragon Quest V JRPG - playthrough I started back here.

At the moment we’re out in the world map again, which has a distinctly snowy feel as the fairy realm is stuck under perpetual winter.  No worries there.  I’m sure we’ll soon find a nice monster girl willing to “warm” us up.  There are a few roaming the landscape.  Some are repeats, but there are some new additions to monsterpedia.  Let’s get to it, Luka-clone!  Gotta bang them all!

Okay, so we have a girl with a jellyfish for a hat.  And the jellyfish has mad googly eyes.  Nothing weird about this at all, no sir.

I think the hat is supposed to be a cure slime.  I seem to remember seeing those in the one Dragon Quest game I played (IX).  She wants to be human and for this needs – quelle surprise – semen.  At least she doesn’t want to eat us.

(Not that anyone would ever write a story as crazy as a jellyfish girl slurping up her lover . . .)

Ahem, moving along.

There are a couple of plant girls.  One is aptly called mad plant.

Mad plant has an interesting alt attack, but a really short Bad End.  Probably not a bad thing given that the eyes staring off in different directions don’t really add to the eroticism.

The other mad plant (you can tell she’s mad by the way she bounces across the screen) is a cactus girl.  Possible ouchies in that coupling.  She says we’ll get used to it.

Up in the north is a shy sorceress type in a big hood.

I think there was a similar monster girl(s) in the first DramaraQuest.   Her Bad End deviates from the usual as she plays around with some ejaculation control magic.  The game represents this by having the Press to Ejaculate button do nothing but earn a few taunts from her.  Always got to look out for the quiet ones.

There’s also a girl with a tan and a very long tongue.

As with crazy hammer-sex-toy girl, she has an additional attack where she wraps that long attack around our cock.  Keeps it warm in all this snow I guess.

It’s a little sad the developer didn’t give more of the monster girls' extra additional attacks.  They work well and add a lot to the sex battles.

Her Bad End is another tease.  She starts with the tongue, but stops when we hit X to ejaculate.  That would be wasteful to her (I don’t think she’s anything to worry about there.  I think we’ve already established the protagonists of these games have bottomless balls).  Then it’s the fucky-fucky.

Okay, after giving Luka-clone a chance to get his breath back from “battling” all the monsters in the area it’s time to move on with the plot.  Up in the north is another castle.  Unfortunately the doors are shut tight.  Looks like we have to go elsewhere first.  The only other location of note is an igloo/cave in the west.  We’ll check that out next time.

Let's Play DramaraQuest V! part 7

This is a continuation of my playthrough of the DramaraQuest V hentai parody JRPG of Dragon Quest 5.  The first part is here.

Back in the village we pick up the little girl being bullied earlier and she joins the party (not that new additions to the party actually do anything other than follow us around blindly on the world map).  The new girl’s name is Baby Panther or something like that.  There was a series of yes/no’s, which I think I screwed up navigating.  After that we leave Bianca behind while Pops drags us back to the first village.

(At first I thought I screwed this up.  Later on I realised I was missing an NPC sex scene as there was a gap in the recollection room.  I thought it might have been here, so I used an old save game to go back and check.  But no, same as before regardless of which options I take.  Hmm, definitely missed someone somewhere.  Never mind.)

a sad empty space where a mucky pic should be

I’m not sure why Baby Panther is following us around.  I think she exists in the game purely because there’s a similar character in the original Dragon Quest V.  (A quick google check reveals that there was, and it was an actual baby big cat that ended up joining the hero’s party).

Hmm.  What now?  The right-side entrance to the caves is still blocked by the book house dude.  Talking to the new dodgy priest who’s appeared next to the church doesn’t help much either.  All he does is rob us of our shiny gold globe.  That doesn’t trigger anything new either.

This is the part of JRPGs I really hate.  It’s just as bad when the text is all in English.

Eventually we find a fairy hiding out on the second floor of an inn.  Rather pointlessly she relocates to the basement of the inn, forcing us to trudge back to there to trigger the next event.  Down in the darkness she asks us for a favour.  She warns us it’s a little bit dirty . . .

Yeah, we know what that means.

She needs this to return to fairyland.  Any old excuse . . .

Again I’m wondering what the other girl in the party is doing while Luka-clone is vigorously banging the fairy.  Poor lass is going to need several years of therapy once this little adventure is done.

Then it’s off to . . . colourless land?

There’s another sprite on a throne.  This time she’s friendly.

Ah, the reason everything is whited out is because fairyland is stuck in perpetual winter.  Cue next quest segment – find some kind of magic flute to trigger the start of spring.

There are a few friendly monster girls in the fairy village, including a slime girl making a snowman (Hmm, shouldn’t she be frozen?  Do slime girls freeze?)

Then it’s off out into a new world map – ice world.  What winsome enchantresses are waiting for our intrepid protagonist in this winter wonderland?  Find out next time.

Let's Play DramaraQuest V! part 6

This is a continuation of my playthrough of the DramaraQuest V hentai parody JRPG of Dragon Quest 5.  The first part is here.

On the other side of the ghost-shaped door is a monster girl with an inordinately large hat.  I’m not sure if you’re supposed to use the clothing break spell to remove it, if it comes off after half damage, or doesn’t come off at all.  As I finish her off with a big crit, I don’t get to see.

(I did come back later and it appears to be a none-necessary use of the clothing break spell.  The girl is another ghost, a repeat of one of the monsters from the first DramaraQuest.  As with that monster girl, her pussy has an additional tongue which she uses to good effect on our balls in the Bad End.  It’s only your life energy being slurped out, don’t worry about it, Luka-clone.  It’s all in a good cause.)

Then it’s off to a throne room for what I assume is the first real boss fight (although the stone statue girl was also classed as a boss judging by her position in the recollection room).

Or maybe not.  Confronting the ghost on the throne causes a trapdoor to open and drop us down to the bottom floor.  Oh hi again, buxom ghost girl.  More hot wax on my cock, yes please.

On our second entrance into the throne room the ghost sprints off.  Thankfully it’s a short chase and we corner her on the balcony outside.

Cue boss fight music.  A neat theme, if a little ominous for a fluffy H game.

Ha ha.  Her special attack has three mini-spirits licking Luka-clone’s cock.  Not exactly sexy, but certainly amusing.

After defeating her there’s a yes/no option I don’t understand too well.  Hitting yes gives us a gold globe, I think.

(Hitting no causes thunder to growl and the game to scowl at you until you select yes. So there's nothing missed by not taking the other option.)

Then we’re immediately sent to the village in daytime and the cluster of three kids on an island.  This seems an appropriate point to break for now.  Next time we’ll be off . . . where?

Let's Play DramaraQuest V! part 5

This is a continuation of my playthrough of the DramaraQuest V hentai parody JRPG of Dragon Quest 5.  The first part is here.

After a little sortie in the outside world, it’s off to the next dungeon – a spooky castle.

Hmm, burnt out bonfire.  Massive double doors to enter.  Anyone having flashbacks here?

Rargh!  The demon with the fat arse is going to mash us into the flagstones again.

(Dark Souls reference)

(Other aside – wouldn’t a porn parody of Dark Souls be awesome.  Prepare to Die . . . Sexily!)

The main door to the castle is locked.  There’s a ladder on the right-hand side.  Climbing up leads to an open door on the topmost floor.  It looks like we’ll be fighting our way down to unlock the main gate from the other side.  On the second floor down a bunch of ghosts materialise and spirit Bianca away.

Rescue the princess . . . uh, innkeeper’s daughter.

Then there’s a bit of weirdness.  On a parapet outside I find two gravestones – one with Luka-clone’s name, the other with Bianca’s.  She reappears after touching her gravestone.

Well, that was a short rescue mission.  A ghost in the next room moves some bookcases and exposes a stairway down.  Another ghost in another room mentions we need to find something (a torch) by a piano to defeat ghosts.  A few staircases later and a stone statue comes to life and tries to molest us.

The crude animation is done fairly well here.  There are sprites layered over each other to give a greater semblance of movement.  In this case it’s the stone statue giving her hips a little swirl.

She beats me.  And this time it’s legitimate rather than ordering Luka-clone to throw the fight.  I’m probably under-levelled from trying to rush through too quickly.  In the Bad End she keeps swirling those hips around with Luka-clone’s dick in her pussy.  Nice.

And there’s no real cost to losing.  We wake up outside the castle by the bonfire.

During the rematch I realise she’s probably a mid-boss character given the change in the battle theme music.  She also has a buff to her attacks after her boobs are uncovered.  That would explain why she critted me from nowhere.  I also notice that I learnt a healing spell after going up to level 4.  That makes the fight somewhat easier.

Downstairs there are a few new monsters and we find out the reason for the anti-ghost weapon.  It’s the key to open a door (the passageway blocked by an angry black cloud).

Roaming around finds a new monster to play with – a crazy chick with a scythe and chains.  She’s less threatening than she looks and talks a lot about being the experienced “older sister” when she fucks us.

Down another flight of stairs and there’s the piano.  It’s also the bottommost floor and we can now open the front door.  A nice shortcut for when we “accidentally” lose to these sexy spirits.  In the piano room are two more new monsters:

A flame spirit (I think we might need an asbestos condom here, Luka-clone).

And a rather buxom ghost candle girl.  I guess she likes a bit of hot wax play.  She’s definitely hot stuff (Ba-da-bum.  Sorry).

Checking the piano reveals inevitable angst over whether I’m standing on the right spot when checking it as there’s bugger all there.  Then there’s much running around and wasted time while I try to figure out which trigger I’ve missed.  Did I read the old duffer ghost’s task right?

Yes, I did.  After going back to check, turns out the old duffer had it wrong and it was in a chest of drawers in his room the whole time.

Ha ha, hilarious.  Fuck you, DramaraQuest.  Grumble grumble.

Anyway, that’s the key to get past the door masquerading as an angry black blob.

Join us next time for part two of the spooky castle.

Let's Play DramaraQuest V! part 4

This is a continuation of my playthrough of the DramaraQuest V hentai parody JRPG of Dragon Quest 5.  The first part is here.

After escaping the second village with Bianca in the lead, we’re finally allowed out into the big wide world.  I predict much throwing of Luka-clone beneath the busty globes of various lusty monster girls.  Sorry dude, nothing personal, I have readers to think of.  It won’t be so bad.  This isn’t Violated Hero or Monster Girl Quest.  I’m pretty sure the cute monster girls are not going to eat you.

There are a bunch of different monster sprites roaming around.

Taking a step outside of the game, I wasn’t sure how to handle this for the playthrough.  With games like VH and MGQ most of the fun is seeing what bonkers things the monster girl does to us in the Bad End scenes.  While DramaraQuest is creative in how it converts the regular monsters of Dragon Quest into sexy monster girl equivalents, the Bad End scenes are fairly limited.  It’s the same moves as from the ‘fight’, but with the addition of a Press to Ejaculate button.  The dialogue is mostly the same, so if I tried to write it up in the same detail as I did for Violated Hero, it would start to get very repetitive very quickly.

In the new area the new encounters are:

Green worm (looks like a lamia on the map, but is some kind of caterpillar girl).

Plot Rabbit (although doesn’t have the rabbit ears you’d expect for a bunny girl).

Weasel (with a weasel-snake wrapped around her like a boa).

Over the bridge is a green slime girl.  I was expecting her to be a palette-swapped version of the blue slime, given how heavily the first DramaraQuest game leaned on that.  This time the makers are less lazy and we get different artwork.  She’s more curvy and gloopy.  I’m guessing this is the monster-girl-arized version of Bubble Slime.  She even has a poison/aphrodisiac attack.

Unfortunately the lack of creativity in the Bad End scenes becomes apparent again.  In other games this would be where the brave hero gets a sexy glooping.  DramaraQuest has a disembodied penis randomly poke in the direction of where a vagina might be.  It doesn’t really work.

After bonking everything in sight it’s time to take Luka-clone off to the spooky castle, which I’ll cover next time.

(Yes, this is short post.   I’m experimenting with shorter and more frequent updates.)

Hentai Game Preview: CardQuest2

I spotted a link for this while browsing Camel’s blog on D-Gate (I think Camel is a creator and part of the D-Gate circle, apologies if I get this mixed up).  Camel is known for sexy vore work.  They created the Milia Wars game and also created some additional scenarios for Monster Girl Quest featuring Cecil, a hapless female knight.

Card Quest was a game they put out a while back.  I liked the quirky mechanics of it.  It was an RPG, but rather than be another JRPG-maker clone they abstracted the exploration aspects of game play away and replaced them with a card mechanic.  Pick one of six cards and it turns over to reveal rooms, monsters or traps.  You keep going until you hit the monster card and then, after beating it, move down to next level.  Every so often there is a boss fight.

Card Quest varies from the normal games I look at as it has a female protagonist.  It’s also explicitly vore rather than sexy Bad Ends with the occasional vore of games like Monster Girl Quest.  Camel’s Bad Ends are usually hit and miss for me.  I liked the slime girls from the first Card Quest, but the scenes of giant worms, frogs, and disembodied stomachs slurping up girls don’t do anything for me.

Camel does draw some sexy monster girls, though, which means their stuff is always worth a look.
From a brief look at the demo, CardQuest2 looks to be drawing on Japanese mythology.  The main character looks like some kind of female ronin and they buy new items between levels from a kitsune (fox girl).  The random mooks are various spirits.  The first boss I saw was a variation on the Futakuchi-onna, or two-mouthed woman, I think.

The second boss was a frog girl or kappa riding a giant toad.  The Bad End is the toad swallowing the protagonist.  Not really surprising given that this is a vore game.

Neither of those scenes hit the spot for me, but judging by the artwork, the game also has lamia and spider girls (or Jorōgumo, to use the Japanese mythological creature).  I’ll give it a look when it comes out.

Let's Play DramaraQuest V! part 3

When I picked up DramaraQuest V and blasted through half of it (while making notes) in one night, I did think this was one playthrough (1st part is here new visitors) I’d be able keep to a regular, maybe daily, schedule.  Hmm, last week didn’t quite work out that way.  Let’s see if we can get back on track this week (with this and other writing!)

Last off we were dragged out of the first dungeon after receiving a sexy malleting by our friendly neighbourhood soldier.

Back in the cave we find some stairs down to level two.  The first encounter is a new monster girl.  She looks very succubus-y.

I might have ‘thrown’ this fight as well.

I suspect our friendly neighbourhood solider might be starting to get a little suspicious.

Down on level two of the caves I do a bit of exploring and the trigger event is in the southwest corner.  There’s a girl sprite with blue hair with a pink bow in it.  A soldier runs past us, leading me to believe this will be the first boss fight.  We can’t explore elsewhere and come back because there’s some odd pheromones preventing us from leaving.

Well, I was sure this was going to be a boss fight, but it ends up being a H-scene.  I think the girl might be the adult version of Flora from the boat.  Machine translation doesn’t help here.

After doing the deed the girl fades away.

There’s a big rock in the cave.  I have no idea what to do with it, same as I have no idea how I’m supposed to reach the boat on the first level of the cave.  Maybe they’re just decoration.

Back to exploring the caves and there isn’t much else apart from another one of the mallet girls chasing a girl in a bug costume.

Back out of the cave and there’s the obligatory JRPG flail around while I try and figure out who to talk to in order to advance the story along.  This time it’s the innkeeper.  He tells us to get some rest for the night and the next morning Pops is back to drag everyone off to the next village to drop some medicine off.

The game is still on rails apart from the talk-to-everyone-in-the-village bits.

When we get control back Bianca, the innkeeper’s daughter is tagging along.  This is going to make the hentai battles a little awkward – “Look away fair innkeeper’s daughter while the debauched monster girl with the huge boobies sucks me off.”

There are no battles for the moment as we’re still trapped in the village.  Lots more blah blah blah while I try to find the next trigger person.  Most of them tell me snippets about a castle and a ghost, which I assume is the next dungeon.  The trigger to advance the story appears to be talking to a group of three children.  After that talk Bianca suggests going back to the inn for the night.

Bianca wakes us in the middle of the night.  Everyone in the village is asleep, most importantly the soldier guarding the entrance, so finally it’s time to go exploring and enter the world map.  Come back next time to see what perverse perils await our intrepid hero out in the big world.

Let's Play DramaraQuest V! part 2

Hmm, a little later than planned - some real life turmoil to sort out at the moment.

This is part two of my playthrough of monster girl hentai game, DramaraQuest V.  Part 1 can be found here.

After Luka-clone is stickily molested by the slime girl, we wake up in the hut by the sea none the worst for wear (and possibly with a big grin).  After a swift rematch it’s time to march off into the great wide . . .

Or apparently not.  Pops rushes out and drags us off to the next village.

Aw Dad, we’re 18 now (okay, I’m not totally sure on this, but I’m going to treat it as such otherwise all the sexy snu-snu starts to feel a little icky.  We’re here for the monster girl boobies after all).  We can go out on our own.

Pops doesn’t seem to think so.  He drags us all round the village to introduce us to everyone.  Family visits in the game world are just as much as a drag as they are in real life.  Then the daughter of the innkeeper, Bianca, drags us upstairs and shows him a book full of naughty pictures.  The rest is predictable . . .

Hmm.  That never used to happen to me on family visits.

The protagonist of DramaraQuest 1 had a girl in every town if I remember correctly.  I suppose it makes a change from running away from the girls that want to have sex with you.

Then we get control back and it’s time for the usual JRPG chore of running around the village talking to everyone.

Churches tell you how much XP is required for the next level (I think this is a feature of the original Dragon Quest series).

North of the village a river enters a cave.  The right side is blocked off by a dude in the doorway to house full of books.  The left side is open.  Taking a peek in reveals the first monster visible is a slime girl.  This is one upgrade from the first game.  Rather than the black clouds or circular portraits we get little chibi sprites of the monster girls roaming the land.  As it’s a slime girl, I’m guessing this is the next dungeon to visit, but I’ll walk around the rest of the village first.

The exit out of the village is blocked by a soldier, so I guess the only thing to do is enter the cave.  Looks like we’re on rails for now.

Time for a new monster and she looks a little prickly.  Thorn girl.  Are you about to go all Violated Hero on us here, DramaraQuest?  Nope, no THORN PUSSY! in the Bad End.  DramaraQuest is a lot more vanilla than other monster girl games.  The monster girls are largely ‘animal ears’ monster girls (normal hot babes in a monster girl costumes that are discarded when it’s time for the fucky-fucky).

For thorn girl we need to use that magic spell to remove her undies.  As with most of these games, get their HP down below half and the tits come out.

Some observations on the main screen menu options after the battle:  Masturbating (1st option) restores HP.  Going to the recollection room (3rd option) causes wandering mooks to respawn.

A little deeper and it’s monster girl number 3.  It’s a crazy girl in an executioner’s hood and armed with a mallet . . . with a sex toy in it.

Fair play, that’s imaginative.  I’m guessing she’s the monster-girl-erized version of this fella:

This is one of the fun things about the DramaraQuest games – seeing how they'd converted some of the weirder Dragon Quest monsters into monster girls.

Hammergal puts her mallet to good use in the fight and carries on using it in the Bad End.  After giving us a proper malleting she moves onto the fucky-fucky until our hero collapses in happy exhaustion.

Insert obligatory "Hammer time!" reference

There doesn’t appear to be any cost to throwing these ‘fights’.  A friendly neighbourhood soldier drags you out of the caves after the monster girl has had her naughty way with you.

Hmm, in that case I might as well go back in and throw a few more ‘fights’.

Come back next time as we penetrate deeper into this dark, wet cave (oo er, missus).

Let's Play DramaraQuest V! part 1

Okay-dokey.  Time to check out the new DramaraQuest.

http://www.dlsite.com/ecchi-eng/work/=/product_id/RE142825.html

Rather confusingly, it seems to be called DramaraQuest 5 despite being the second instalment in the DramaraQuest series.  DramaraQuest is a porn parody of the DragonQuest series of JRPGs, so I’m guessing the reason for the odd numbering is because this is a porn parody of the 5th game in that series.  I know of the original series, but have only played DragonQuest IX on a DS emulator (and was impressed with the storytelling).  DragonQuest has the legendarily innuendo-tastic puff-puff attack – something I’ve previously exploited/corrupted in one of my own erotica stories.

As always, the first issue is setting AGTH up to be able to hook the text correctly so it can be passed to a machine translator.  Checking the ulmf forums suggests this hook code:
/c1250 /X3 /W1 /kf64:16 /ks1

This gives a ton of options in the AGTH dropdown box.  One of them looks similar to the text on screen.  Not that machine translation actually helps that much with the three options I’m presented.  The 1st seems to start the game.

Then there’s more fiddling around to find a configuration that finds the right text and doesn’t duplicate or lose any of the characters (even after all this fiddling about we still get such machine-translation delights as “Japanese spaniel refuse” – and to think Elon Musk was warning us all about the dangers of AI a week or so ago.  I think the sun blowing up might get us before the machines do, Elon).

First option is to pick a name, and we can type this one in.  What to name?  What to name . . .

Yeah, there was only ever one choice.

The game starts with a needless little scene about the hero being born.  I’m assuming it’s only here to mirror the events of the original DragonQuest 5.

Then the game begins proper with us running around a ship in an attempt to find the one person that will trigger the next event.

Okay, let’s check out the menu options.

The 1st one sounds suspiciously like the protagonist is taking a wank.

The 2nd one looks like a monsterpedia.

The 3rd one carts us off to an underground cavern.

Ah, I remember this from the first DramaraQuest.  This is the room where you replay monster girl battles and Bad Ends.  So, monsterpedia: 3D version with extra smut-o-vision.

The 4th brings up a list with one item at the top – “Let’s translate this.”  Nope, no clue.

The 5th appears to be the Save option.

Okay, let’s get horny Luka-clone off this boat and laid.

It’s the usual for JRPGs – run around and find the right person to talk to.  The ship docks and then a girl with blue hair and a pink bow appear.  Flora – love interest?

Or rather bonk interest.  Lusty Luka-clone doesn’t waste much time in giving her a good bonking in her room.  That appears to be the event that unlocks the next area as the ship goes away and leaves us behind in a hut by the sea.

Then it’s off to the world map.  The way north is blocked by a slime girl.  Have ‘at ‘er, Luka-clone.

Let’s take a look at the combat options.

1.  Attack.  Or rather, Insert Cock as this is a battle-fuck game.

2.  Magic.  There is an option that does nothing when selected.  I think this removed clothes in the previous game.  Not much use against blue slime here as she’s already in her birthday suit.

3.  Defend.  Or rather, Do Nothing and see what naughty-sexy attacks the monster girl has.

4.  The ever-popular Surrender and let her bonk your brains out option.

5.  The ubiquitous and dull Run Away option.

There is a bit of pseudo-animation.  As with the previous game it’s simple movements and distortions of the base sprite.  It’s still quite effective, although not as good as the animations of games like ROBF or Erotical Nights.

I force Luka-clone to sit still and let the slime girl have her way with him.  The Bad End is more jiggling of her sprite and textual taunting as she gets our willy in her pussy and milks us until her belly goes white.

That’ll do for part one.  I’ll carry on from where I left off tomorrow (or maybe the day after)

Succubus Summoning 211 (part 5)

“If it’s any consolation, your bringing them here did not change anything.  This was always going to be their fate,” Nÿte said to Darvill.

Phil hadn’t visited this chamber before.  Everything in the room was covered in glossy white latex.  When he wasn’t looking at it directly, the latex seemed to shift and bulge as if something was trapped on the other side.  It reminded him uncomfortably of the souls he’d seen trying to push out through Nurse Honey’s nurse outfit.

At least Darvill was still alive.  That was a plus.

The other student nodded his head at Nÿte’s words.  “Can someone show me the way back to Earth?” he asked.

“I’ll do it!” Cέrμləa said.  She skipped forwards and took Darvill’s hand.

“I’m really sorry,” Phil said to Darvill as he walked past.

“There’s nothing to apologise for,” Darvill said.  “The choices and decisions were theirs to make.”

He gave Phil a friendly fist bump on the shoulder.

“See you back at college.”

He left the room with Cέrμləa and the white iris door closed behind them.

“No fair,” Rosa said with an unhappy pout.  “Why did I have to get the smart one?  Now I’m all frustrated.”

“A promising prospect,” Nurse Honey said.  Her horns had disappeared and her hair had returned to its usual blonde colour.  “He might develop into a fine warlock.”

“Needs to lose some of that arrogance,” Nÿte said.  “Today will have helped him.”

“He could have at least let me give him a blowjob,” Rosa complained.

“You look tired,” Verdé said to Phil.

“It’s been a long day,” Phil said.

Since waking up he’d seen one of Nÿte’s ghoulish collections; fought a spider daemon; ran around the castle in search of his fellow students; had sex with a succubus covered in the freshly-spilled blood of one of those students.  Rest would be good.  Therapy might also be needed.

Verdé went behind him and started to gently knead the meat of his shoulders.  “You need a little pampering,” she said.

Her nose wrinkled.

“And a good clean up,” she added.

Rosa’s ears pricked up.  “Giving our warlock a good pampering, I like that idea.  Mmm, my pussy will give you a really nice pampering.”

She started to walk towards Phil . . .

. . . and was intercepted by Nÿte.  The other succubus put an arm around her waist, squeezed her tight to her, and steered her away towards the exit.

“Mine was a little too young to fully appreciate the talents of a succubus,” Nÿte said to Rosa, “so I had some fun with our master instead.  I think we should let him have a quiet night to recuperate.”

“But . . . but . . .” Rosa said to no avail as Nÿte guided her away.

“Let’s get you cleaned up,” Verdé said.

She took him down to the opulent bathing area, put him under a hot shower to sluice away the abattoir remnants of Joey Chalk, and then lightly sponged him all over until he felt fresh and clean.  Well, clean at least.

“Did they have to die?” he asked Verdé as she walked him back to his room.

“You’ve all chosen a difficult path to walk,” she said.  “Those that don’t possess the requisite strength and ability will not make it to the end.  That’s the way it’s always been.”

That sounded cold to Phil, yet Verdé had said it as though it was perfectly natural.  Maybe to daemons it was.  Phil didn’t think he’d ever get used it and he doubted this would be the last occurrence.

Verdé blew him a tingling kiss and then glided away down the corridor.  Phil entered his room.  It was in darkness.

Strange.  He normally pulled aside the black sheet he used to block out the bright pink sky from the window when he got up at whatever felt like morning.

It had been one of those days.  He must have forgotten and there wasn’t any opportunity to do it later.  He didn’t even bother to make any light.  He took his stinky robes off and tossed them into the corner.  Then he dived backwards onto his bed.  This was one of those rare occasions when he was glad the bed was as ludicrously big and soft as it was.

He didn’t land on it.  Instead he landed on some sticky filaments that were maybe suspended an inch or so above it.

. . . sticky filaments that felt suspiciously like a giant web.

. . . that looked like a giant web.

He heard giggling out in the darkness.

“Look at what’s fallen into my little web,” L’mactia said.

* * * *

Hmm.  I was going to torment everyone a little more and leave you all in suspense for another day, but Literotica have been fantastically efficient with their posting times again.  The full chapter is now up and can be read here.

The next chapter (212) will be a little shorter.  I'll see if I can get it out around the start of December.

Also, if you were a little disappointed that L'mactia's spidery friends didn't get a chance to show off their talents, never fear, I've written a little spin-off story where both of them get to have a little fun with a hapless human captive.  That's part of something I'm planning for 2015.

If you've enjoyed this, please support me by picking up one of my books.

Succubus Summoning 211 (part 4)

Darvill reached the top of the stairs and entered a long passageway.  A line of stone arches resembling windows ran along each wall.  The arches didn’t look out onto anything; the view was obscured by flaps of glossy white material—some kind of rubber.  The latex sheets swayed and bulged and initially Darvill thought this must be a corridor exposed to the outside elements, maybe a bridge between two towers.  Then he realised the motions were co-ordinated—like lungs drawing breath.  As he walked down the corridor he caught movement in the corner of his eye.  Ripples ran through the glossy white material.  Ripples that resolved into faces and hands.  They melted away the moment he turned to look at them directly.

Up ahead the corridor terminated in a strange obstruction.  It resembled a giant sphincter or iris, but was made out of the same glossy white rubber rather than any kind of biological material.

Darvill checked his portable soul divination apparatus.  It told him Gary was on the other side of that door, if it was a door.

He approached and the door opened up like an iris.  Revealed on the other side was a large white chamber.  It contained beds, couches and other furniture whose purpose was primarily pleasure.  Everything was covered in a layer of glossy white latex.  He noticed there was no visible gap between furniture and the floor, as though all the beds and loungers he saw had been extruded from the floor beneath.

At the end of the room a succubus in white sat in a massive, overstuffed chair that resembled a throne in both dimensions and placement.  He recognised her.  It was the same succubus Gary had been infatuated with.  She’d changed.  Her long silky hair was pure white and a complex series of horns—like those of an elk—were threaded through it.  She no longer resembled a trashy porn star in a fetish nurse outfit.  She looked regal . . . powerful.

Darvill saw no one else in the room.  He checked his portable soul divination apparatus.  It pointed directly at the daemon sitting on the throne.

He wished it hadn’t.

“I’ve come for Gary Dever,” Darvill said.  “Return him to me.”

The succubus in white ignored his demand.  She looked at the artefact in his hand.  “Is that an Aqui-animus divination apparatus?”

Darvill nodded.

“I’m sorry,” the succubus said.  “Those have never worked particularly well around me.”

Darvill drew his knife and prepared to slice into his arms to activate the most powerful offensive magic he knew.  “I don’t want a fight,” he said.  “Give me Dever and we’ll both leave without any trouble.”

“No, you don’t want a fight,” the succubus said.

She looked at Darvill standing defiantly before her.

“You need to see something,” she said.

She sighed and pushed her breasts and belly outwards.  Her latex outfit—if it was an outfit, Darvill suspected it was her skin—rippled as a commotion took place underneath.  Tiny hands followed by equally small faces pushed out against the malleable rubber.  They pushed out and then subsided, as if the succubus was cycling through them in search of one particular soul.  She found it and Darvill recognised Gary’s face.  Gary pushed out as if trying to force his way through a thick sheet of elastic.  His arms and most of his upper body emerged from the succubus’s stomach as if an unnatural fission was taking place.

Darvill’s excitement faded as he saw more of Gary’s body.  The shape of the head was wrong—deformed, partially melted.  The same was true of his hands.  The fingers weren’t right—they looked like softened wax.  Gary’s face broke the surface and Darvill saw there was nothing there.  The eyes were blank, dead.  There was no light there.  No life.  No soul.  Gary didn’t recognise him.  The malformed face gibbered nonsensically.

Water welled up in Darvill’s eyes.

The daemon saw he understood.  She flexed her amorphous body and Gary was pulled back down into her as if caught in a quagmire.  The rippling commotions faded away until there was only the succubus, looking radiantly perfect as she sat on her throne.

“You friend is gone,” she said.  “Even if you had the necessary power to force me to return him to you, all I can give you are his remnants—little more than carrion that would fall apart in your hands.”

“Then I came here—risked the lives and souls of my friends—for nothing.”

“Not for nothing,” the succubus said.  “You have grown considerably as a warlock.  Calli-Scitu-Oc is very pleased with your progress.”  She smiled at the poly-Oc perched on Darvill’s shoulder.

Darvill’s poly-Oc had a name?  Darvill thought that was a weakness lesser warlocks indulged in—giving their daemon familiars pet names.  Darvill hadn’t.  It was a poly-Oc, nothing more than a common familiar.

Then he looked across to the poly-Oc sitting on his shoulder, saw the way it looked back at him, and understood.

“It appears I’ve been operating under an erroneous set of assumptions,” he said.

Most of his knowledge, nearly everything he knew, had been obtained from reading books.  He saw now that most of it was wrong.  A single glance from Calli-Scitu-Oc told him that.

The succubus smiled at him.  He could see why they were regarded as creatures of near-irresistible temptation.  That temptation emanated from her like a burning spotlight.  He was relieved she had chosen not to turn it on him.

“What about the others?”

“They did not possess sufficient strength of character.”

The voice came from behind him.  Darvill turned and saw a small group of succubi had entered the room.  He recognised Rosa and Verdé, and the succubus that looked like a stern dominatrix.  There was also a succubus he hadn’t seen before—a little girl with horns and spiky blue hair.  Despite looking like a child, she had the oldest eyes Darvill had ever seen, older even than both the succubus in black and the succubus in white.  In the middle of them, still dressed in his ratty old robes, was Phil Rowling.
