As it's the start of a new month, I've updated the public version of House of Hellish Harlots to a new version.
v0.046 has a carnivorous pitcher plant girl theme as both new harlots are variations on that type of monster girl.
N3P-NTHes
N3P-NTHes is another artificial being, this time modelled on pitcher plant lust daemons. Unfortunately, she's one of The Doctoress's early creations and she neglected some aspects of her personality. If you want to be brutally drained in a femdom way, N3P-NTHes is very good at that.
Perhaps a little too good...
Aphroú Kanáta ton Ouránia
Aphroú is a more conventional pitcher plant monster girl. Her pitcher is filled with soapy water and feels like being in a relaxing hot tub full of bubblebath.
But be wary of getting too relaxed...
Similar to Sapoonis, I gave Aphroú a classical Greek appearance. There's a decent chance the two might have a team-up scenario at some point, as Sapoonis joining the player in Aphroú's pitcher has a lot of potential for frothy fun.

While I have been posting recently about a graphics upgrade to HoHH, the main releases are still text-only at the moment. You can check out how that is going under the 'Experimental' tag of the website (fairly good for desktop, still a little rough for mobile). So i've been trying for a while now, how do you survive N3P-NTHes?
ReplyDeleteSeems like you end up in the pit no matter what you do.
I won't spoil it fully, but if you pay CAREFUL attention, the Elegant Woman's advice contains the clue necessary. If you surface read, she'll just get you killed. Beyond that, it's a very exacting requirement as far as I can tell. You may not be able to get there from a save after she's presented, as a cooperative prior round (or more than one) is very helpful.
DeleteShe's fairly tricky, but survivable. The conditions are pretty finicky to set up. The aim of the Tier 3 harlots is to maybe have one-per-faction the player is probably better off avoiding entirely until they figure out for sure what her conditions are.
DeleteEnjoyed both of them. They pitcher plant girl kept saying she wanted a Hero. Its reminding me of Odysseus and Hercules, her being Greek also doesn't help. Would she see Ash Williams from Evil Dead worthy enough to spare?
ReplyDeleteThat, I don't know. I need to watch the series. In the films he's a combo of hero/chew-toy/moron, so I'm not sure whether he'd appeal to Aphrou or piss her off. Either way he has a ton of plot armour, so something would likely happen to prevent him getting dissolved.

Could you realistically beat any succubus in a fight? Like can an out of shape normal man with no combat training beat Verde, Rosa, Physalia, Huntress Diana, Huntress Levka, Osculia, and Epicratea?
ReplyDeleteWould have added Nyte, but she is too OP. She has the strength to easily lift a grown man and she ripped apart a human, so i don't really think a wall trained MMA fighter can beat her.
I think ya made a mistake for making her too strong, now Nyte needs to be conveniently away from Phil so she can't rescue him. Would the attack Verde by them Scrote's succubi still play out of its was N the instead of Verde.
With Verde, its the opposite. You made her a bit too weak. Yes you say that she is pretty strong in her own right, but she is the ONLY succubus that has been getting put in situations where she almost died. (Teen warlock throwing fireballs at her, Verde being drained by Scrote's succubi etc.) she's the only one being a Damsel in Distress.
You've made Nyte too OP and you made Verde too weak, IMHP.
There are reasons why Verde is how she is, but those are spoilers for an upcoming plot point (when I finally get a chance to write SS301!) The five succubi are comparable in power, but show it in different ways.
DeleteNyte is an anomaly in that she has the typical 'demon' strength seen in other fiction. That is balanced by her being much weaker at intrigue. In an arena she's going to outfight pretty much every other succubi. Put her in a more political court intrigue setting and the 'weaker' succubi are going to be far more adept at getting the ear of the king or whoever is in power. She only seems OP because that aspect of her power is easier to quantify than a master politician.
Strength levels vary from succubus to succubus. Aside from Nyte, who is a special case, I don't like the usual horror trope of seduction demons also being super-strong. If they're that strong, why would they need charm magic or hypnosis.
Unless it's a monster girl like a lamia, I generally have succubi be comparable physically to a good female athlete. If you remove all the magic and other charm abilities, they'd still be fit enough to beat up an out-of-shape man with no combat training, but probably wouldn't stand a chance versus a fit man with martial arts training. The problem for the fit man with martial arts training is that succubi are incredibly adept at exploiting their sexuality. They make themselves seem stronger than they are because they make their opponents want to fuck them rather than fight them, and subconsciously desire to 'throw' the fight. The fighter ends up subconsciously pulling their punches or not breaking out of holds he would normally, so, from his perspective, the succubus actually seems a lot stronger than she actually is.
Is it possible Hydra for a man to beat a succubus at sex? If the dude had over 10 years of being a porn star and the succubus is a "baby" and younger than Panta, would he be able to defeat a very young succubus?

I think it would have to be a specific, weaker class of lust daemon. Imps. catgirls (that was a plot point in a novel idea - I really need to write that porn stars vs monster girls story idea!).
Main problem is the lust daemons of my universe are supernatural predators that feed on sex. Humans are already in big trouble once it gets to the sex stage, as they're already in the daemon's 'mouth'.
An experienced porn star reducing a succubus a quivering orgasmic wreck is such a fun concept that if I can work it in, I'd love to find a way.
Is that why the Hero Elan lost against the succubus in Succubus Keep? Because honestly, that was no normal dude. Elan was slaying demons and other monsters for god's sake, creatures more stronger than a succubus, but loses to the succubus because of that "Men can't fight them" Plot contrived rule?
ReplyDeleteElan should be strong enough to tear off that succubus's head...im just glad you are focusing on the succubi and sex daemons preying on normal guys, I draw the line of the succubus can defeat a superhuman dude with combat training and has experience killing monsters. Worse is that Elan and Kurt Carpenter (Slayer Vs Succubus) should have better willpower than any normal man, but you still made them lose.
Also Hydra, you are contradicting yourself by saying women can fight a succubus better than men because of that "Men can't fight them" rule, BUT, its ruined by them fact that you established that a succubus will have no trouble preying on a human woman and sucking her to death as well, even if the human woman is not lesbian.
It depends on the story. The main 'message' of the Succubus vs Knight and Succubus vs Slayer stories was that they had hyper competent heroes in situations they were poorly matched up. Kind of like taking a badass Conan-type hero who can fight bears with his bare hands and dropping him in the ocean and asking him to fight a shark when he can't swim.
DeleteKurt Carpenter was a fun exercise in what happens to a recklessly cocky hero when you remove their plot armour.
In Succubus Keep (and Knight vs Succubus), the knight is caught in a trap by a powerful demon. Sometimes the hero finds a way out. In these stories, the hero did not.
I have an example of where preferences matter in Nazi vs Succubus. One of the characters is gay and breaks out of a glamour faster because of it. If someone is only into men (man or woman), they're going to be more resistant to a succubus's allure, but not outright immune. Some lust daemons are powerful enough to bulldoze through normal sexual preferences.
Nyte only seems OP because it is easy showcasing the strength of a tough guy that can beat up a large horde of goons with ease over the cunning politician. Like comparing Light from Death Note versus Guts from Berserk.
ReplyDeleteGuts may have the power to easily rip a part Light in a straight up brawl, but he lacks Light's cunning and master manipulative mind. Is Light a wimp because he isn't a strong as Guts? No. Light excels in a different field of "strength" that Guts can't master and has no knowledge in how to do.
Which brings me to this question...
Can a "weak" succubus defeat and overwhelm Nyte with sex magic, Me Hydra?

Kind of agree with Anon on Elan and Kurt. What difference does having a "strong male" character make if he is just going to lose to a succubus, anyway? Hydra has humans from average joes, action heroes like Elan/Kurt, and even humans with magic (warlocks) getting their asses clapped into oblivion by succubi.
I'm sorry Hydra, I love your stories, but you keep saying "But there are weak succubi that a normal man can defeat!" doesn't really hold any water when all of your stories have a succubus, no matter if she is 'weak' or strong always having an upper hand over the men.
You got to SHOW the audience, not just tell everyone and write it off as "Oh, it only happens in the background!" excuse. Which is why I really to meet the male sex daemons. No I don't want to see an incubus have sex, but introduce the male sex daemons to help for your world building.
Because we are just only seeing female sex daemons that you might as well just have made an Erotic Horror version of Monster Girl Encyclopedia where all horny sex monsters are female.
I'm constrained a lot by expectation - which is people want to see a hot succubus do her thing. If the hero kills her, no sex, no erotica.
DeleteThere is a way around that, by using the monster-of-the-week formula which has the monster girl have a hot scene with a random victim, then get bumped off by the hero later. That's something I might look into doing at some point - the one thing I'm really lacking from my work is a classic hero character - a Sherlock, Conan, or Geralt.
I'm also conscious that I started writing when subverting male heroes had not become the tedious overdone trope it is now, and it's something readers are a little tired of nowadays.
I dunno. I generally work on putting the hot sex scene at the forefront and then implying the other stuff (heroes winning, male lust daemons) is present but happening off-screen because it doesn't fit the erotica I can or want to write about.
Quite a few stories reference male lust daemons working the background. It's heavily implied Nyte contracts one to take revenge on a student in Succubus Summoning. Various H-space stories have male monsters mentioned or doing things off-screen.
I would love to create a male lust daemon bestiary/roster as varied as my monster girls. I'm hampered there by my own sexuality. I can't really convert or corrupt fetishes into incubi, because I don't really have a starting point to work from. I can lean into the grosser horror stuff, but that's about it. Best hope is to try and grow interest in the setting and hope other writers/creators get inspired to fill in my obvious gaps.
Ok so how does one hunt a succubus then? You showed us Hydra that going the Kurt Carpenter way, or warlock way is not going to work. How does a man hunt and destroy a succubus? How is the guy from Nazi vs Succubus going to be a hunter of succubi when he has no magic and special weapons?
