We have successfully penetrated the interior of the snow continent.  There are angels.  Lots of angels.

There are five variations of the booby angel soldiers.

Luka's Angels?

They were present in the original series (although not until part 3), and their Bad End is appropriately boobilicious.

As you’d expect from an Arekishi creation, their Bad End involves paizuri… lots and lots of paizuri.  The whole squad takes it in turns to wank Luka off with their breasts.  Yup, definitely boobilicious.

That’s just the temptation scene.  For the Bad End Trinity decides that three of them isn’t enough and they enlist the help of another squad for their cross of holy punishment.

The village we saw at the end of the last post is filled with angels.

One of them gives a proper explanation for how the snow continent came into being.  People had it wrong when they thought it was raised up out of the oceans.  It’s a chunk of heaven that fell out of the sky.  Many angels were killed in this disaster and then found themselves stranded without their divine powers (which explains how our parties of random monster girls can even fight them—in the original series the angels had some form of divine protection and only Luka could even touch them).  The angels built the town using what they’d learnt from humans and have been holding on in hope of Ilias’s return ever since.

Within the town you can find the usual assortment of blacksmith, item shop, weapon shop, inn, etc.  There’s a restaurant where the angels feel very guilty about how much they enjoy various cakes and sweets.  Surprisingly there is also a battlefucker in the town:

Lone survivor Shoki

She is Shoki and is the last remaining survivor of an expedition sent by Sabasa to investigate the snow continent.  Some of the angels even talk about Sabasa.  They refer to the ruler as a barbarian nympho.  If you have Sara in the party she will be upset about this in her swordswoman form.  Sonya tries to comfort her… until Sara flips to her succubus form and reveals she’s quite proud of her nympho reputation.

Alicetroemeria continues to be very unlike the Black Alice everyone remembers.  She likes the polar bears and even wonders if she can be friends with the angels.  Again, it makes you wonder what happened to change this incarnation into the total monster Black Alice everyone fears.

There is also talk of a chief angel, but she’s currently not here and instead pouring her energies into keeping a barrier up.

In her absence another angel has been nominated to run the town.  She can be found up in the top right corner of Snow Heaven.

You seem familiar...

She is Ranael and looks suspiciously like the angel that decimated Luka’s home village in another timeline.  If that’s the case then you probably really don’t want to see what’s under that dress.

Talking to Ranael confirms what the other NPCs have been saying.  The snow continent fell out of the heavens after a catastrophe some thirty years ago.  The source of the mana disruption is likely the Ilias temple—the real one, not the one in Iliasville.  But we won’t be able to enter at the moment as it’s protected by a barrier maintained by the chief angel (likely Eden).

This is another occasion where I wonder how much the Ilias path has diverged.  All the NPCs here would likely be reacting a lot differently if Luka rocked up with Ilias in tow.  Or maybe they wouldn’t recognise her in her loli, depowered form.

Anyway, we have our next target.  We need to go down to the shrine in the southeast and ask the angel chief to kindly drop the barrier long enough for us to enter the Ilias Temple Ruins.

Monmusu Quest: Paradox [part 2] ver 2.20 and Other Oddities from the Graphics Folder

As people have kindly pointed out to me, the ver 2.20 upgrade for Monmusu Quest: Paradox [part 2] was released over the past week.  This is a big update Toro Toro Resistance has been talking about for some time.  As long as you have an account with DLSite, you should be able to download the new version from your My Items tab (assuming you purchased the original).

From what I can gather, the majority of the changes are primarily concerned with endgame content for the Labyrinth of Chaos.  This doesn't really affect my walkthrough as I'm still a fair way off this point.

I've heard Sonya also gets some new H-scenes depending on what sex toy she has equipped.  I still haven't figured out how to access them, so I can't really comment on those.  As her main artist is Xelvy, I imagine they're pretty wild.

The other change is quite coincidental, given I was fighting them in yesterday's post.  Two of the Beelzebubs (Beelzeboobs?) get new request scenes back in the pocket castle (or rather on the MS Fish, as that's where you can find them).

Striga (the red one) will give you a handjob and prostate massage while your face is buried in her abdomen boobs.

Boobs.  Being milked.  The period matters.

Media (the green one) has another hug scene, which also sort of doubles up as paizuri given that our dick gets a good boffeting in her abdomen boobs.  Media is the sweetest one of the three.  Her hug power is to make you feel so relaxed and comfortable you don't want to fight back.

The most important thing about 2.20, though, is it means Dargoth and co can get back to the epic translation task.  Understandably, knowing there was a huge patch on the way, they didn't want to put a bunch of work in only to see it blown to bits by 2.20 coming out and changing everything.  You can keep up to date with how the translation project is coming along over at Dargoth.com.

While I was furtling through the game's Graphics folder I also noticed something I'd missed before.  This is not new to 2.20, it was also present in the previous builds.  Similar to the Gnosis scene I talked about earlier, there's some Alma Elma artwork I don't remember seeing in the game.

What do we call this, a tail belch?  Yes, those are Luka's feet, which appears to be all that's left of him.

I second your "Euwwwwww!"

Alma Elma does have a request scene where she gobbles up Luka with her tail (similar to one of her vore Bad Ends in the original series), but she spits him out before... well... stomach bulge stage.  So I'm not sure how Luka gets to earn that particularly gruesome fate.

Is this what happens if you request H-stuff from Alma Elma on the Ilias route?  An alternate Bad End?  I'm curious to know.

This seems to follow on from Alma Elma's max affection request scene (which is lethal, but she's good enough to tell you this beforehand).  Again, I'm curious if this is actually in the game.

(It's possible we have to fight Alma Elma again at some point and these are the Bad End versions of her H-request scenes.  Seems weird though, given she seemed very much on our side the last time we saw her.)

The first one is unusual because, while some really really horrible stuff happens to Luka in the worst Bad Ends, we don't ever see his body visibly destroyed on screen.

I'm still itching to write that monster girl fantasy novel/story which subverts MGQ's tendency to spare the audience and instead gives readers those Bad Ends in all their ghastly, horror-filled glory. ;)

H-space MGB Profile: Boob-Snake

Name:  Boob-Snake (Don't blame me.  This is the name used by the men and it's sort of stuck)
Type:  Demon
Habitat:  Underground caverns.  Natural springs.

Description:
Another anatomically-perverse monstrosity.  How did such horrors come to exist and why are their forms so familiar and yet horribly corrupted at the same time?

The boob-snake will usually be encountered lying in a pool of white liquid resembling milk.  With the majority of their body submerged and hidden beneath the surface it's easy to mistake them for a beautiful naked woman resting in a hot spring.  It's only when the boob-snake rises up out of the water that their true—inhuman—nature is revealed.

While their head, shoulders and chest are human in appearance, below there the thoracic region is repeated over and over again, so that the demon looks as though it has been extended into a snake with multiple rows of mammary glands.  Mutations of this nature have been observed in annelids and arthropods, and indeed have played an important role in the evolution of some forms, but this isn't what is happening here—human anatomy simply shouldn't permit it.

Describing the 'boobs' of the boob-snake as mammary glands is technically incorrect.  The 'milk' secreted by their breasts is a complex mixture of hormones and enzymes used to first render their male captives docile and then aid the boob-snake's absorption of her prey's fluids.

Attack Strategy:
They lie in wait in pools of white liquid and use their alluring beauty to tempt men into approaching them.  Once the man strays close enough the boob-snake will surge from the water, coil her body around them and then drag them into her pool.  Boob-snake pools usually have a secret tunnel underwater leading to a more secure cave where the demon can drain her victim without being interrupted.

Once she has caught a man, the boob-snake will strip them, exude her 'milk' over their naked body and then massage them with her many breasts.  These look and feel like big soft human breasts and the sensation of them rubbing all over the body is intensely arousing.  Once her captive is turned on enough, the boob-snake will force them to suckle her breasts.  Getting her milk inside them aids the digestion process.  Enzymes within the milk painlessly break down her prey's internal organs and her intense sexual stimulation causes them to ejaculate the resultant soup onto the boob-snake's breasts in a continuous uncontrollable orgasm.  The boob-snake absorbs the ejaculate through her skin.  The whole process is supposedly a lot more pleasant than it sounds, but you'll forgive me if I'd rather not experience it first-hand.

Countermeasures:
Don't talk to the strange naked woman sitting in a pool of fresh milk.

Boob-snakes share similar regenerative capabilities as other demon-class HSIOs.  It is relatively easy to puncture their skin with either bullets or blades, but most of these wounds will close just as rapidly as they opened.  Even fire has little permanent effect.

Until we can find substances to counteract their regenerative capabilities and given their speed and strength, it is highly recommended to give boob-snakes and their pools a wide berth.
