Let's Play Monmusu Quest: Paradox [part 2] - 53: Recruiting the Queens II

Beginning

<- Previous: Recruiting the Queens II

Time to pick up more of those gorgeous, sexy monster girl queens.  Hopefully ones that won’t try to eat us mid-nookie.

Queen Harpy - Lucretia

This is straightforward.  Go back to Queen Alraune at the top of the World Tree.  The Yggdrasil fruit will have ripened by now.  Collect it from Queen Alraune, warp to the Harpy Tower and present it to Queen Harpy.  This will cure her and she’ll join the party.

And we get some lovely nights filled with fluffy feathers...

Touch Fluffy... Wing?

Queen Alraune - Alrauna

Recruiting Queen Alraune is a little trickier.  Go back to the World Tree and talk to her.  She wants to secure succession to the throne and put the Alraune Priestess on it.

Alraune Priestess doesn’t want to have anything to do with it, thank you very much.  Running Plansect Village stressed her out to the point it gave her stomach ulcers.

Queen Alraune carries on talking as though Priestess had accepted.  She tells us we need to go to the gold coast to look for “light seedlings”, whatever they are.  Priestess still isn’t particularly happy about this.

Hmm, these queen quests seem to involve a lot of questionable choices and screwing over previous party members.  In other mainstream RPGs I’d be thinking these decisions would come back later to bite us in the ass.  But this is a frothy hentai game about collecting a harem of monster girl waifus... created by someone very familiar with RPG tropes and fully cognizant enough to twist and exploit them.

Are you up to something, TTR?

It turns out it’s the alraunes that are up to something.

Gold Coast is the beach section just before Poseidoness’s temple.  Wander around the grassy sections and look for the sparkly lights indicating an item.  Once you find it, Priestess will beg you to break it.  She really doesn’t want to be the new Queen Alraune.

If you refuse, she grabs and breaks it anyway.

...which upgrades her into a Queen Alraune, just as the old Queen Alraune planned all along.

Alraune Priestess promoted to Alraune Queen

Former queen alraunes burst out of the ground and scary boss music plays.  Uh oh.

I think we've been had...

Turns out it’s a prank.  It seems no-one wants to be queen of the plants, so the previous queens are continually tricking their successors into breaking the light seedling and getting stuck with the job.  Cue much weird supervillain cackling.

Alraunes are strange.

As with Spider Princess, we don’t lose anyone.  Queen Alraune, real name Alrauna, joins the party and Priestess stays with you and gains a new form.

She also gets three new request moves that are variations of her sitting on our lap.

Flowers suck.  (That is Luka under there, I think.)

The variations come from what she decides to suck our balls empty with—her pussy, or two types of fleshy flowers custom-designed for maximum sperm suckage.

Queen Mermaid - Laura

This had me stumped for a while and I had to look up how to do it online.  Even after the battleplan to go to Black Alice’s alt demon castle, Queen Mermaid still refuses to join.  It’s clear we need to do something with El, but this isn’t triggered by talking to Queen Mermaid.

For this you need to check the side quests in the pocket castle (you might have forgotten about them, which is understandable as it’s barely been used in part 2).  El has one where she wants to make amends for waging war on San Ilias.  How, is a little confusing.  I did run around all the locations in this region with El in the party without much luck.

Turns out you have to talk to El first in the pocket castle (or rather on the MS Fish, as that’s where she can be found).  El is really hurting over her role in the violence and comes to the conclusion she needs to use her blood to heal the people who’ve been injured.  After coming to this conclusion she rushes up to the deck and throws herself into a nearby iron maiden.

Of course, MGQ-universe iron maidens don’t work that way and El gets a rather pleasant shock instead (I think she liked it).

You need to take her to Queen Alraune (who was in my pocket castle at this point).  She will give El some seeds for medicinal herbs to be planted on Natalia Coast (the region before the descent into South Ocean Temple – Meia/Kraken’s domain).

The site of El's herb garden

Plant the herbs.  Come back.  Come back again.  Beat up the poor mini-crab girl because she was curious.  El learns that beating up people just because they’re curious is bad.

Now go back to Queen Mermaid.  El will talk to her and convince her to join.

And we can have some nice family fun tog—

A nice... eggjob?

Pass.

Queen Fairy - Airy

We left Queen Fairy recuperating on the island at the centre of Fairy’s Isle.  Her recruit condition is pretty random and not related to picking up the red orb at all.

She wants to see the Hide’n’Seek trophy.  You pick that up by finding all the hidden Amiras... which we already have.

So that one’s easy.

(Unless you haven’t found all the Amiras and—worse—can no longer remember which locations you found her at and which you didn’t.  At which point I imagine there will be much gnashing of teeth and tearing of hair.)

Queen Elf - Freya

Queen Elf’s recruitment condition is also rather random.  She wants to see a silver and gold trophy from Grand Noah’s coliseum.

She denies being a fan of all that sweaty fighting stuff, but is also very specific on what we need to do to obtain those trophies.  (Alice just rolls her eyes.)

The silver trophy is obtained by winning the first race restriction fight.  This is the second option and requires all four members of the party to share the same race (the imp party with a random other succubus is fine if you've kept leveling them up).  Fight three random encounters and win and the trophy is yours.

The gold trophy is obtained from the third option, which is some kind of endless mode.  You’ll need to win ten fights in a row, but as the monster girls they throw at you are low- to mid- level it shouldn’t be too difficult.

Take both trophies back to Queen Elf and she’ll join the party.

And we get to experience the exquisite pleasures of her pussy if we ask her very nicely in the pocket castle.

Mmm, luscious tight elf pussy.  You never got this in LotR.

And that, I think, is that for recruiting all of the monster girl queens.  I know there are still some side quests outstanding in the pocket castle.  I’ll come to those later.  As for now, it’s time to penetrate Black Alice’s... castle.

Let's Play Monmusu Quest: Paradox [part 2] - 48: Mermaid Cave

Beginning

<- Previous: World Tree

One rampaging monster queen down, three to go.

Next on the hit list is the mermaid tribe.  We already know where their base is.  It’s just to the west of Esta, here:

Mermaid base, surprisingly not at sea as you'd expect, which I guess makes it a good spot for a hidden base

Previously the cave entrance was blocked by a mermaid general and Luka was too gentlemanly to force his way in.  Now, with the Mermaid Queen in our sights, we get the option to fight our way in.

Fishy bouncers

Inside is a cave system filled with mermaids.  There are also some of the adorable ickle sea horse marines and sea slugs.  An NPC tells us that the pay isn’t very good in the navy, so some of them also work for the Mermaid Queen.  As far as I know, you still can’t recruit them if you chose the pirate route way back in the beginning of part two, which is a shame.

The other monster girls are the new mermaids we encountered while defending San Ilias.  The mermaid generals were an encounter in the original series.  The new fishy babes are Lorelei and Mermaid Knight.  Lorelei, as we found out in the invasion of San Ilias, gives a nice bubbly bath.  Mermaid Knight’s scene is a sloppy blowjob with plenty of saliva to perk us up into the right mood.

Who wouldn't turn down a sloppy mermaid BJ?

I suppose you could describe it as vanilla, but that will probably be a relief to those scarred by MGQ’s various angel and demon abominations.

The other NPC wandering around is El, the little mermaid princess.  We bump into her multiple times while walking through the caves.  She seems very conflicted about her role in the attack on San Ilias and is unsure of what to do.

I’m guessing no-one is pulling Queen Mermaid’s strings here.  She has a massive chip on her shoulder against humans as they murdered her love back in more barbaric times.  She didn’t need much prompting to join in on the attack on humanity.

You can encounter her in the centre of the cave system.

Queen Mermaid's location

She is also a returning boss from the original series.

Tragic mermaid back story.  Does not like humans.

Sure enough, there is no surprise boss to attack us after frying Queen Mermaid (she’s rather vulnerable to lightning).  She was happy for any excuse to bash humans.  Having resolved some of her crisis of conscience, El, shows up to try and talk her mother out of the bad stuff.  Queen Mermaid decides to call off the war and offer herself as prisoner on the condition that she and only she is held responsible for the actions of the mermaid race.  She also tells El to go along with us to learn to be a better future queen.

We are again the peace delegate and it’s off to San Ilias to present Queen Mermaid’s terms.  These are fine to Robo-Pope.  He’d rather form an alliance than punish her.  He also gives us a few rewards.  We get the Swift God’s Soul, which is the unlock item for advanced dragon knight, thief and ninja jobs.  I think.  He also hints of other goodies to be found in the makina workshop beneath his throne room.  It’s worth going down there as one of the engineers gives us the book to unlock the advanced engineering job as well as what looks like a multi-way rocket launcher.  That seems moderately unfair in a fantasy game.

Then back to Queen Mermaid.  She was fully expecting to be executed.  Alice informs her humans have gotten much better than they used to be.  This makes Queen Mermaid feel even worse for bringing up El the way she has.

We’re not quite done here as there is another long callback to events in the MQ:P [part 1].  You’ll remember that we’ve been carrying around a dried bit of squid that was the Queen of the South Seas temple until Astaroth sucked all her energy out.  Poseidoness couldn’t restore her, but suggested Queen Mermaid might be able to.  And here we are, talking to Queen Mermaid.

She does indeed have the magic to restore Kraken, who is very relieved to be returned to normal after many narrow escapes of nearly being eaten by accident by Alice.

Kraken, un-besquidded (and thankfully for her, uneaten by Alice)

She joins the party and suggests we go back to the North Sea Temple to recruit Poseidoness.  Talk to Poseidoness (Kraken doesn’t even need to be in the party) and she’ll join.  She also seems a bit gropy with her tentacles, much to Sonya’s disgust.  Alice tells her most of the deep sea monster girls are like that.

We’re a bit short of the smexy stuff, given that the only new monster girl is Mermaid Warrior, so here’s a pic of Kraken getting her tentacle grope on.

Sea monster girls like to get their tentacles in all sorts of places

Then back to Queen Mermaid for the set?

Nope.  Not yet.  She’s still concerned about El.  I’m guessing we’re waiting for the same quest unlock as with Queen Alraune, Elf and Fairy.

Anyway, that’s it for the frisky fishies.  Next up it’s time to take on the spider girls, where I absolutely won’t deliberately kick Luka into a web so a trio of delightfully kitsch spider girls can have their wicked way with us.  Ahem.

Let's Play Monmusu Quest: Paradox [part 2] - 44: Demon Invasion

Beginning

<- Previous: Succubus Village (alt)

We were in an alternate world, hanging out with one of the great heroes of the past (who coincidentally happens to be travelling with one of the worst villains) when we got a message all heck was breaking loose back in Luka’s world.

One harpy feather later and...

Our newest recruit

What is Black Alice doing with us?  She got sucked into the warp and followed us back into our world.  Fortunately, she seems quite tickled at the prospect of going up against the demon armies and joins the party.

This is probably for the best.  As a party member, she’s fairly OP.  Despite only being level 40 or so, she has access to the tier 3 Black Mage jobs and her trait is to double-cast black magic.  With the right gear and stat bonuses, she can dish out a helluva lot of damage.  So yep, it’s probably a good thing she pitched in on our side.

She is also a bit... not there.

I think someone recommended keeping her in the party for her comments.  I concur with this.  Alice is a fruit loop.  All hell is breaking out around her and she talks about tea parties (before dishing out five-digit damage double fireballs).

I think I can say I’m on team Black Alice at this point.

Originally, I was going to break this part into four posts covering each city, but I think it’s time we push on and get this series done before part 3 comes out.  Also, while there are plenty of new encounters, I’ve a strong reason to believe we’ll be seeing them as regular encounters in other locations (for reasons that will become clear later).

Right.  Grand Noah, San Ilia, Sabasa and Grangold are all under attack.  Technically, it doesn’t matter which order you do them in, and at one point I did get confused as to which was the first (I may have rushed to the other cities to see what new monster girls were around to “play” with).  The monsterpedia is fairly helpful here.  It lists the new monster girls in the order elves, mermaids, spiders, vamps.  So we’ll start with Grand Noah (which is where we warp to after the distress call comes in anyway).

Grand Noah is under siege by a combined army of elves and fairies.  The random encounters are various low-level elves and fairies we’ve seen in previous locations.  They’re still at the same level and therefore not really a problem.  Also present are various fixed encounters where the monster girl character sprite is visible and usually in the process of molesting some unlucky (or lucky) townsfolk.

The giantess girl in the town square is fairly hard to miss.

I wonder who we're supposed to fight...?

There is also a carbuncle girl (I’m guessing this is a fairy-tale reference) molesting a priest on the bridge to the coliseum.  These are one-time encounters.  There are also recurring encounters (respawns every time you come back to the city) with new girl Elf Amazoness and original series Trick Fairy.

I’m not going to put Bad End details here just yet as I suspect we’ll be running into these girls again.

Various routes, including the road to the coliseum, are blocked by mass fighting.  You’ll need to head towards the castle where you’ll find the androgynous-looking Queen Fairy marshalling her troops from behind the lines.

Sweet child of the 60s

Queen Fairy was a boss fight in the original series that specialised in sending various lewd plants into Luka’s pants.

The boss fight managed to drag out for an age because my party is effectively Alicetroemeria, Luka and a ragtag punch of other characters I’m running through the Maid job to pick up the value-oriented Job XP +50% ability.  After this I did some switcharounds because I didn’t want every fight to take thirty minutes with the risk of a party-wipe if they managed to nail the one character capable of actually doing anything.

What happens after beating Queen Fairy is a bit of a surprise to me.  In the original series she tag-teamed with Queen Elf and I was expecting that fight to follow this.  Instead Queen Fairy calls back her army and vacates the city.

Hmm, I suspect we’re going to have to track her back to her home turf.  That mountain outside Yamatai?  Although Queen Fairy and Queen Elf were located on their own island in the original series, if I remember correctly.

Anyway, that’s Grand Noah clear.  Time to move on to San Ilia.

San Ilia is under attack from the mermaids.  I think this is a slight change to canon as the mermaid queen attacked Port Natalia in the original series.  Once again the wandering monsters are various mermaids from previous locations.

The new encounters are the mermaid general from the original series and a new mermaid knight.  There is also a mini-boss encounter blocking off the route to whoever is leading the mermaid encounter.  This is new girl Lorelei.  She offers to give us a nice bubbly bath massage, which is rather tempting...

Bubble bath soapy massage?  Sign me up!

Oh well, that’s what save’n’reload is for.

Leading the army is the mermaid princess from the original series – El.  She gets blasted back by a cannon and we confront her in the central square.

The littlest mermaid

Alice knows her mother has a hatred of humans from a Little Mermaid thing that didn’t work out too well and is sad that hatred has been passed down to her daughter.  El wants to prove she’s good enough to be next queen, which means beating us and taking the city.

Beating El is enough to call off the assault.

Now I spot the trend.  The deputies are leading the armies while the real queens are being held back as the inevitable boss fights in their own bases.  Unlike with the elves/fairies, I know where that is for the mermaids.  It’s on the road from Plansect to Gold Fort.

That’s two cities cleared.  Next is Grangold and spiders.

Again the random encounters are various spider girls from MQ:P [part 1].  There is a new type wandering around with their own map sprite (and also fighting the golem in the town centre).  They are a group of very kitsch arachnes drawn by the same artist who did the succubus harem.  I like them and like their Bad End and will be sure to show it off when we “lose” to them in the arachne base.

The deputy boss fight is more like a deputy boss rush as we fight first the tsuchigumo and then two of the arachne lord from the original series.  Unlike the elves and mermaids, the spider queen is here in person.  But we don’t get to fight her.  After we defeat the arachne lords, the spider princess shows up at the entrance to the castle.  She’s looking for the King of Grangold, who isn’t in the castle because it got blown up in the fight with alt!Tamamo.  The king is currently in his temporary warehouse HQ.  He emerges to blast away a few of the rank’n’file arachnes.  This draws the attention of the spider princess, who jumps over for their epic boss battle.

Hey, star of the story over here.  Shouldn’t you be fighting us, Miss Muffet?

We get another new spider girl to fight against instead – Atlach-Nacha.

A titty spider to go with the titty flies?

Woo, Clark Ashton Smith ref.  Atlach-Nacha was the spider god in one of his weird stories – “The Seven Geases”.  That story can be read here, but I wouldn’t get your hopes (or other parts) up.  Atlach-Nacha is male and conventionally monstery here.  A gender-flipped version did show up in an Alicesoft visual novel (that was porny).  Funny to see a Cthulhu mythos monster (that isn’t Cthulhu or a shoggoth) show up in such things.

I did have a “The Seven Geases” porn-parody type story/novel on my todo list.  Maybe that could be the original fiction serial I follow this series with?  (Spider girls, snake girls, one huge slime girl, plus one hapless protagonist.  Probably good for a laugh.)

Goddamn it, so many ideas.  So totally disorganised when it comes to writing them.

Anyway, back to Atlach-Nacha and... that’s a lot of tits.

Despite the fearsome name, she doesn’t even get proper boss music.  She does have a lot of tits, though...

She exploited our weak point...

I don’t think Atlach-Nacha is meant to be any kind of boss.  If you fight her properly rather than throwing the fight to see what she does with those many tits (she uses them to squirt aphrodisiac silk around Luka until he’s all cocooned up and spurting his life away in her cunt), you’ll find out she’s vulnerable to status combo tricks like trance/intoxicating pitcher and can be beaten in one turn.

In keeping with the previous two cities, we don’t get to fight the queen of the race as Spider Princess calls a tactical retreat.

That’s three cities clear.  We also get a new recruit as King of Grangold joins the party afterwards.

Last is Sabasa.  I’m a bit hazy on this one as I did bits of it out of sequence.

As you enter the city, Sara will run off citing a need to defend her people.  We have to take the slow way through Sabasa fighting vampires along the way.

Or rather, one vampire, as the only non-Loli-Bandit vampire we’ve seen so far is the generic vampire girl found in Grangold Desert.  She is joined by other non-random encounters – Conquista and Vendetta.  Later on we also get the Setouchi-special Elder Vampire.

There are two mini-boss fights required to free Sabasa.  Carmilla and Elizabeth show up from the original series.

Do you think they'd say yes to a threesome?

Carmilla is fought at the half-way point, which unlocks the way to fight Elizabeth deeper in the city.  Elizabeth has Sara trapped by what looks like a horde of vamps.  She taunts Sara by telling her she’s going to enslave the whole country.  At which point Sara reveals her heritage as the daughter of the sphinx.

Oh hello, does that mean we’re going to get Succubus Sara.

Oh yes.

That's the Sara we've been waiting for

After blasting away the minion vamps, she rejoins the party for the boss fight.  Again it’s like the previous three cities.  Defeat the lieutenants and the invasion is called off.  I guess the game is saving the vampire queen for the vampire base, wherever that actually is.

That’s all four cities saved.  So it’s time to return to Grand Noah to plan the next move... which we’ll do next post.

But before then, we might as well get to know Sara’s new succubus body better.

Totally worth a trip to Hades

Let's Play Monmusu Quest: Paradox [part 2] - 6: The Open Seas

<- Previous: Navy Headquarters II

“It’s a pirate life for me… a pirate life for me…” or whatever it is pirates sing.  Probably with lots of added “Yaarrrrrrr”.

We have a boat, the MS Fish, thanks to Bonnie, Ashel and the rest of the fishy pirates (who only pirate other pirates, so they’re the good fun pirates that don’t get up to all that raping and pillaging stuff, unless it’s Luka, of course, because the game wouldn’t be fun if there wasn’t a hot succubus trying to jump his bones every five paces or so).  Anyway, we have a boat, and the next place we’re supposed to go is directly north of the Navy Headquarters.

Which, of course, we’re not going to do, because it wouldn’t be a JRPG if you didn’t go haring off in search of hidden locations the moment the map opens up.  I’ve played Final Fantasy before.

The open section isn’t all that open to be fair.  We have the run of a central sea, but most of the northern shores are blocked by impassable mountains.  The Navy Headquarters is on an island to the east.  The sea to the north and south of it is blocked by rocks.  There is a canal running through the island, blocked at the far end by a massive stone gate.  I don’t think we’re going to see that open until Monmusu Quest: Paradox [part 3], to be honest.

The Grand Pirates’ Cave is surprisingly far away, being right out to the west.  As with the Navy HQ, further progress is blocked by rocks.

There is a huge black smudge of a Tartarus location right in the middle of the sea.  Currently there is no way to enter it, at least none that I can see.

Just to the west of the Navy HQ is Sheep Island.

Sheep Island

It has a location filled with sheep girls.  Sheep girls are the chronic drunks of the monster girl universe, so we get silly music and lots of drunken sheep milling around.

Where the sheep girls go to get drunk

There isn’t a whole lot to do here.  Both the entrance to the building and a pathway behind it are blocked.  I tried bringing both the sheep and rabbit girls and nothing changed, so I think this might be a location to revisit later.

There are two other locations to explore along the north.

Spider Island

The first has a cave with the entrance blocked by an arachne (one of the ones from MGQ chapter 3, judging by her portrait).

Arachnes be here, but no entry for now

I guess this is where the spider girls holed up after Neris bashed them around.  The arachne won’t let us in or fight us, so I think this would appear to be another place we’re not supposed to be visiting right now.  There are some items hidden in chests in the surrounding woods, so it’s not a complete waste of time.

The second island doesn’t even have a name.

??? Island

There’s a bit of a Lovecraftian Cthulhu vibe here as we find the corpse of a doomed explorer/castaway.  They left a notebook that talks about fog, being unable to leave the island and some kind of eldritch structure.

Notebook found in a deserted campsite

As none of that is happening right now I think we can add another item to the list of interdimensional weirdness.  I suspect its significance will become clearer once we go through another one of the Tartarus locations.

At least we get a few new monster girls to play with along the way.

Mermaid Assault!

One is a returning mermaid from the original series.  I like this artist’s style and I liked the encounter in the original series, but I don’t think they’ve drawn that many characters.  It’s a shame as they’re perfect for the more vanilla monster girls.

The other two are more of Arekishi’s busty cuties.  And if it’s Arekishi, you know exactly what you’re getting…

Boing!

More Boing!

…titty jobs!  Lots of big bouncy boobwanks.  Yummy.

The mermaid merchant also shows a true entrepreneurial flair.  She charges Luka for every spurt, and the poor lad is too addicted to the experience to turn her down.  So, by the end of it, he’s completely drained of both gold and cum.  Tick another one off as Monster Girl Quest adds findom to the list of fetishes.

Or should that be fin²dom, hurr hurr.

(It’s coz she’s a fish, with fins, geddit.  Never mind… I’ll get my coat.)

The returning mermaid from the previous series also has a sweet paizuri scene, if I remember right.  These seas are pretty much titjob heaven, if you can avoid the odd creepy Fusuma flapping around.

There are also a trio of similar Bolt of Cotton girls flying around.

Sky dancers

They also like to warp Luka up in smooth silky heaven.

Private dances.  Refusal not accepted

Although in this case, there appears to be an absence of both creepy doll faces and drooling digestive acids, so they’re fine by me.  We’ll have a private dance later, if you know what I mean.

Nothing for you to worry about, Luka my old pal.  Just keep sailing north.

The open seas aren’t all that open as it happens.  There’s only really one place to go – Finoa.  So that’s where we’ll head off to next time.

Let's Play Monmusu Quest: Paradox [part 2] - 5: Navy Headquarters II

<- Previous: Grand Pirates’ Cave

We have a boat, the MS Fish, crewed with some enthusiastic pirates.  This will take us to the next continent and Grand Noah, but before then there are some side quests to tick off.

The fishy pirates had their flag confiscated by the navy.  They’d like it back, and as an extra incentive it’s also stored next to the permit required to unlock both the pirate and marine jobs.

So, no biggie, just an all-out assault on the Navy HQ.

We have two new members of Luka’s “harem”.  On the eve of the battle we should pop in and see them for... ahem... comfort.  I mean, we might not survive tomorrow’s battle.

Both Ashel and Bonnie are Arekishi creations, so – unsurprisingly – their first request scenes involve big bouncing boobies wrapped around Luka’s cock and squeezed...

Squeezed between big boobies

...and squeezed...

Even more boob squeezing

Until we get our balls totally drained.

But not drained enough to miss out on a spot of nookie.

Ashel is fairly business-like about it as you’d expect – In you go.  Squeeeeze.

Luka wisely moves his head to the side to avoid certain death by suffocation

Mermaid pussies are a little more tactile than their human equivalent.  So, that’s no escape for Luka until his balls are completely drained... again.

In contrast to Ashel, Bonnie has a spot of baby fever.  Once Luka is inside her, she pulls him in deep and gushes about all the eggs Luka is currently fertilising.

There may be consequences for this, Luka...

Oops.  Even Luka realises he’s in a spot of responsibility bother, mournfully stating he’ll have to do the right thing and marry Bonnie once the adventure is over.

I don’t think Alice will like that.  Or Sonya.  Or... let’s face it, you’re screwed, Luka.  Better make plans to go into hiding once all this is over.

Anyway, that much needed distraction out of the way (because we might not survive tomorrow’s battle), it’s time to begin the assault on the Navy HQ.

Now that we’ve allied with the pirates, the Navy HQ has become a ‘dungeon’ location, with random attacks from sea horse and sea slug marines.  Despite this, the various merchants will serve the player, so you don’t have to worry about locking out the blacksmith, for example.

On top of the random encounters there are a few fixed encounters blocking our path.  The first is on entering the HQ location, the second is in front of the HQ doors, the third is on entering the HQ building, the 4th is blocking the stairs to the 2nd floor, and the final one is blocking entry to room with the flag and permit.  After clearing the way, you’ll be able to pick up the flag and permit here:

The objective for this quest

Picking up this unlocks both the pirate and marine jobs.

Oh, Admiral Leviathan is on this floor as well.  Can we fight her as a boss?

She doesn't look that hard...

Alice strongly advises against it.  Leviathan’s strength is comparable to a monster girl queen.  Feh, we’ve fought monster girl queens and won before.  She can’t be that hard...

ulp... followed by...

Mistakes were made.  Mistakes were made.

The punishment for Luka’s attempted insurrection is execution... by Leviathan’s vagina.  She draws Luka deeper inside her, the soft walls swell up and enfold him, and then she slowly drains his energy by forcing him to come over and over.

...gulp!

There are worst ways to be executed, I suppose.

But anyway, this was a hypothetical alternate reality where Luka was a real fucking idiot.  Obviously, we follow Alice’s advice and don’t go near the huge fuck-off sea dragon.  Our plunder secured and Bonnie and Ashel happy with the increasing rep for the fishy pirates, we slink off back to the MS Fish.

Future adventures await!

Let's Play Monmusu Quest: Paradox! part 26

South Sea Temple (Meia is a very naughty mermaid)

Okay, that's enough frolicking on the beach with crabs and shellfish (it makes sense in context).  It's time to descend into the South Sea Temple, get our hero on and rescue some hot, sexy mermaids.  Oh, and some fishermen as well.  (Maybe.  If we're lucky the sea anemone girls and jellyfish girls will have already eaten them.)

Oh, this is the epic and stupidly long playthrough of Monmusu Quest: Paradox which is now up to part 26.  Part 1 can be found all the way back here.

As with the original Monster Girl Quest: Chapter 1 (now with an official English translation), we're heading down into South Sea Temple.

In the original series it was to ask the Queen of the South Seas to bless a marriage.  This time it's to investigate some mysterious disappearances.  As before the way is blocked by a variety of marine-organism-themed monster girls.

So we have sea anemone girl:

And jellyfish girl and anglerfish girl:

These gals really like their man meat, and I mean that in the hyper-literal sense.  Luka will not have a good fate if he succumbs to any of these.  You've been warned.

Hmm, can I get away with a sneaky aside to plug my writing here?  Fuck it.  I've written a couple of times previously about where I get my inspiration from and this is where the original MGQ series was a direct inspiration for two of my stories.  The sea anemone girl inspired the story "Snared, Sucked and Slurped" (which can be read here).  And the jellyfish girl inspired "Riding the Medusa" (this one's not online, but present in my collection A Succubus for Freedom and other tales).

I haven't yet done anything with an anglerfish girl, but the operative word there is yet.  (C'mon, there's no way I can pass up playing around with that particular biological quirk.  Expect ick.  Lots of ick ;) ).

Anyway, that's the mandatory book plug (the only reason I can justify doing this crazy endeavour) out of the way, so we can now resume our regular programming of smutty videogame pixels.

The fourth monster girl is a new one – seaweed girl.

I mentioned her yesterday as she also crops up in the beach section.  Her Bad End is to wrap her nuru nuru fronds around our cock and absorb all our 'moisture' until we've dried up like a piece of jerky.  In this part of the world that qualifies as one of the nicer fates.

Somehow I manage to defeat and recruit a mimic at only the second attempt.  She wants to see the outside world, but is a little frightened it might be dangerous.  Could she please tag along with a brave party to protect her?

Um mimic, you're a nigh unstoppable death machine capable of eating just about everything you might encounter out there in the big wide world.

Also yes, as you're a nigh unstoppable death machine I'd love to add your talents to our merry band of adventurers.

(just don't step in her chest unless you've fed her plenty of meat beforehand, Luka)

There are two cells full of mermaids that are currently locked.  No sign of the fishermen.  I guess they were eaten after all.  The lower cell reveals Meia is behind all this nefarious activity.

Meia?  What, sweet innocent (okay, that's stretching things a little) Meia from the first series?

Sure enough, there she is with her harem of… um, don’t they look a little young to be fishermen?

Hmm.  Meia is claiming to be the Queen of the South Seas.  In the first series that was Kraken.  And it should be here too, according to Alice.  Something screwy is up.

Meia has a lot of HP and can heal herself for a lot at each spell.  Fortunately we land a poison spell on her early and that eats big chunks out of her HP and we take the fight.

Oh that.  That's just alt!Luka.  He succumbed to temptation and was rewarded with a delightful blowjob.  This didn't happen to our Luka at all, no sir.

After the fight Meia comes to her senses and recounts how all this came about.  She came down here to seek Kraken's blessing for a marriage and instead found the mysterious succubus in red – Astaroth.

It sounds like she came in right after Astaroth and Kraken fought, with Astaroth emerging the victor.  Kraken is now dried squid (Astaroth probably did the succubus-y thing and slurped all her juices out during sexy-sexy fun times).  Astaroth hypnotizes Meia into thinking she is the queen and should do all those naughty little things she wants to do.  Which apparently is stealing all the local fishermen and de-aging them into her own personal boy harem.

That's just the hypnotism bringing out her bad side, she's really a lovely mermaid when you get to know—

Meia, why does your twenty-five-year-old husband look like a… yeah, probably best not to go there.  Mermaids!  Dating them makes you feel… um… young.

Anyway, we now have possession of the sealed form of Kraken.  We can't unseal her just yet, so Luka stores her somewhere safe for now (where hopefully Alice won't eat her by mistake).  The mermaids give us a reward for rescuing everyone and Meia agrees to join the party to make amends for her brainwashed behaviour (talk to her in her house when you get back to Natalia Port).

Her request moves in the pocket castle are the blowjob at low affection and full sex at 100 affection.

Yes, she is married.  Yes, this is adultery.  Yes, she takes great pleasure in pointing that out while she's fucking Luka's brains out.  Naughty boy, Luka.  Think of her poor husband waiting back at port.

That's the main quest for Natalia Port done.  Tomorrow we'll head off to the next city, San Ilias (and hopefully it will be posted a little earlier in the day).
