Text Play Monmusu Conquered World! part 6

We’re at the end of the second week of our Text Play of Monmusu Conquered World.  The whole thing started back here.  Last time we were dragged into a pond by a bunch of over-amorous mermaids.  Lots of licking was involved.

With a short pause to shake ourselves dry, it’s time to carry on the epic quest to...

Um, Magic Sword, what exactly were we supposed to do again?

That’s what happens when you can’t be bothered to learn how to read Japanese.

Wandering away from the ruined town we come across a cut-scene where a monster girl is harassing some normal humans.  I’m guessing they’re normal humans as normal humans don’t have art privileges in this game.  The monster girl is the squid girl from VH5.

We know who you are

It’s cute how they think blurring her face out will stop us noticing the art re-use.

(To be honest, I don’t really have a problem with the re-use of previous content in places like this.  It’s not exactly essential to the plot and there are plenty of new monster girl characters to perv over.)

I'm not sure what happened in this scene.  At a guess I think it’s supposed to show Luka-clone’s hero powers growing as he saves a group of female villages from some slimy hentai tentacle action.

Then we’re off to a random castle.  Why not.

Another run-and-dodge section gives some brand new animated scenes.  Which are pretty neat.

Hmm, this is screwing with the whole dodging thing.  Gotta fuck ‘em all I guess.

Apart from this scene where she’s giving our cock the pimp hand.  I think I can do without that one.

owowowowow!

(Ow.)

There’s more running and dodging inside the mansion.  At one point I get a weird bug that knocks me into a wall, which looks pretty bad as I can’t get out.  Fortunately, the same succubus obligingly bumps into me and knocks me back out again.

After more ducking and diving we escape into a room with a very large picture on one of the walls.

A totally not suspicious painting

Hmm, that’s not suspicious at all...

Don't ask

Yes, that is us, fighting a painting.  Dali would approve.

I’m not sure exactly what happens during the fight, but it looks suspiciously like the painting knocks us out with a fart.

Okay...

You win this round Monmusu Conquered World.  I’m not even going to bother trying to contest it.

The Bad End is pretty sweet.  The Grand Odalisque is on top of us with her lovely round butt cheeks wrapped around our erection.  It looks rather tasty... just don’t look down at the bottom right.  That would appear to be our head being absorbed into the painting.  It looks rather painful.

Dat ass (Don't look down at the bottom right corner...)

The painting wins and a solo nude ends up being a pair of lovers.

Are we art now?

(Are we really that short – dang these artists with their inconsistent portrayals of age and appearance.  Luka-clone will probably look like Conan with washboard abs in the next scene.)

That’s some Twilight Zone-type shit right there.

Oddly, I’m trying to think where the idea for the painting girl might have come from.  Monster Girl Quest has the paintgeist of course, and that likely inspired Monmusu Conquered World’s Grand Odalisque.  But this is the sort of idea that must have shown up in an old creepy horror tale at some point and it’s bugging me that I don’t know the ‘classic’ source.

Back to the game, and you’ve got some work to do here, Magic Sword.  We’re paint.

No problem at all as Luka-clone gets ripped right back into our world for the rematch.

I don’t think the painting girl liked that.

As with the arachne fight, the Grand Odalisque fight also shows hints of really getting the flavour of a femdom monster girl sex fight, but is let down by the generic JRPG combat system.  Painting girl has a magic attack that does a fair bit of damage.  She also has a sequence where she binds the hero, puts them to sleep and then starts bouncing away on their cock with dat lovely round ass.  The little animated scene is great and again I wonder why they didn’t incorporate it into the Bad End scene.  I really like this blurring between the RPG fights and the sexy Bad Ends (which games like ROBF and Monster Girl Quest do so well) and wish the game did it more often and with less obviously generic JRPG implementation.

Anyway.  Yummy is yummy, but we have a world to save.

Round 3 we go invulnerable enough to enjoy that bouncing ass... a few more times than might be entirely healthy.  All good things must end and the deadly(ish) painting is put away for good.  Time to move onto the next monster girl boss.

As always, if you’re enjoying this series, please consider picking up some of my books.

I’ll be back on Monday with part 7.

Text Play Monmusu Conquered World! part 4

Time for part 4 of my Text Play of Monmusu Conquered World.  The usual warnings about adult content apply.  Last time out we had a dinner date with an arachne... that didn’t go so well.

Now, probably a little slimy after our tour of the arachne’s stomach, it’s time to continue the adventure.

The next section is another dodge-and-run through a ruined village.  There are a couple of new sex animations if we get caught, including a very bouncy pair of boobies.

Boing boing!

I like these little animated snippets.  I’m not sure the game is making the best use of then, given that they’re thrown into the random generic filler segments, but they’re still quite nice.

One of the wrecked houses has a different kind of sparkly outside the door.  This leads to a cutscene of the wrecked interior.

This is where I again must apologise for playing this without any form of translation.  At a guess, our hero is finding somewhere quiet to sleep for the night.  A sprite of an open book is shown.  I don’t know whether it’s something we’ve found, or some kind of diary or similar keepsake Luka-clone is carrying around with him to remind him of the good times before the monster girls invaded and sucked all the juices out of everyone.

Your guess is as good as mine...

If someone does have an idea of what’s going on in these segments, please post in the comments below.

After another run past horny succubi, we’re out of the village and onto the grassy plains... where we run into boss number 3, the lizardman (or should that be lizardwoman/lizardgirl?).

Cute, but the change of art style is jarring

Oh boy, does that art style clash with everything else.  This is a similar problem to Monster Girl Quest (even more pronounced in the follow-up Monmusu Quest: Paradox).  Nothing wrong with the individual pictures themselves, but sometimes the different styles clash, which can be jarring.  Strange, because Dieselmine’s previous monster girl eroges were much more consistent in art style (If you ignore the silhouette and blown-up pixel art nonsense of the early games).

I’m not sure where the trope started, but lizardgirl monster girls are always proud, elite swordsmen for some reason.  I think we try and get by without a fight, but there she is, back in our damn face again.

Okay, ‘ave it, bitch!

Predictably, that doesn’t go so well.  Lizardgal takes a turn to buff her attack and defence, and then twats us for over 4000 damage.

Ow, that probably hurt.

Lizardgals also have long slimy tongues according to typical monster girl lore, so for her Bad End scene we are treated to a big sloppy blowjob.

Slurpy suck time

Wait, what is that hand doing near my balls?

Ow.  Ow.

A little less on the crushing sound effects, please.

Ow.  Ow.

Look, I know you’re meant to be cum-squeezing monsters from wherever, but can you please stop squeezing my testicle like it’s the bulb of a pipette.

Luka-clone expires from excessive ex-spermination.

She squeezed us like an orange.  A career singing classic AC/DC beckons.

This time I manage to beat lizardgal in the ‘proper’ RPG fight.  Which is also a little annoying as I didn’t get to see her sex attack.

For a while I wasn’t sure she had one.  One of the downsides of Lizardgals being a proud warrior race is they tend to be more enthusiastic about hitting folks over the head with steel objects than getting down’n’durty with the smexy stuff.  After leaving Luka-clone to be slashed about for a while I determine that Lizardgal’s sex attack is an animated version of her blowjob.

Which also makes me wonder why they didn’t just add that animation to the Bad End scene?

Anyway, that’s enough of Lizardgal.  Time to move on.

Oh, there’s still the game of which is the most depraved – manyeyedhydra vs Monmusu Conquered World.  Hmm, what lizard girl stories do I have?  Oh, there’s this one.  Yeah, I think I win this round.

As always, if you’re enjoying this series, please do me a favour and consider buying one of my books.

Text Play Monmusu Conquered World! part 3

Welcome to part 3 of my Text Play of Dieselmine’s Monmusu Conquered World.  Last time we fell foul of an adorably cute goblin gang-bang squad and a good, if exhausting, time was had by all.

Once they’ve been chased off, with some surprisingly cute expressions and bops, it’s onto the next run-and-dodge section.  A couple of new sex animations have been added to the fairy, spider and cowgirl scenes of the first section.  I was thinking of hanging around and letting the succubi catch me so I could see them, but in a display of comic ineptitude, managed to misjudge where the level ended and ran straight through into the next cut-scene.

Straight into the arms and many legs of an arachne, or spider girl, as it happens.

Rather sensibly, even with a magical sword, our hero decides to leg it.  Our new admirer is not so easy to shake off and she keeps bouncing into view until the inevitable fight happens.

The first fight is auto-lose, but it plays out surprisingly logically and is a pretty good bridge between an auto-lose fight that has the illusion of interactivity and a Bad End with no interactivity.  The arachne always follows the same sequence – she poisons the player, inflicts a bind on them, and then initiates a sex attack (animated) that results in the player being reduced to zero hit points after ‘popping’ one turn later.

It's bad form to squirt poison all over someone on a first date

That’s the quintessential arachne scenario right there.

“Mmm, I’m going to fill you full of my aphrodisiac venom, cocoon you up in my lusciously soft silk, and then you’ll be helpless while my delectable, tight little pussy slowly sucks out all your juices.”

Unfortunately, the game creators are trying to play this scenario out with what I’m assuming is generic, off-the-shelf RPG-maker software.  It goes so far – the poison attack lines up the poison status change animation with the arachne sprite so that it looks like she’s squirting it out of the spinneret at the tip of her abdomen.  Which sort of works, if your imagination is kinky enough.  What doesn’t work is the follow-up bind attack.  For this it looks like they’ve taken the closest match – paralysation.  But unfortunately, paralysation is usually represented by electricity in most generic JRPGs, and that doesn’t seem quite right unless she happens to be little miss electro-spider.  The sex attack is a close-up insertion shot.  Unfortunately, as with most Japanese H-things, pixilation obscures a fair bit of it (although it’s still pretty nice).

Anyway, enough analysis.  Back to the story!

The arachne squirts poison at us, ties us up in sticky silk and then forces us to have sex with her.  Other than these minor quibbles she’s probably a lovely date.

The Bad End has Luka-clone bound up like a puppet and bouncing away on spider pussy.  As Bad Ends with scary spider women go, it doesn’t seem so bad.

Arachne's love spinning their own love seats

The scene is also a little familiar.  Luka got bound and fucked the same way if he lost to the Spider Princess in Monster Girl Quest, if I remember right.

Oh, but in that scene, after she had sex, didn’t she...

Yes, you can't see his legs.  No, you probably don't want to know where they are...

Ulp.

So, it’s a dinner date, and not in the good way.

Hmm, this will be a challenge for the resurrection capabilities of our magic sword.  Thankfully it’s up to the task.  The arachne gets a massive dose of indigestion and regurgitates us right back up again.

(Yes, this is still a sex game, in case anyone was wondering.)

I don’t think she’s too put out by this turn of events.  It means she gets to fuck us and eat us again.

Which she does.  I probably should have made some effort to learn the RPG battle mechanics.

Round 3 is back in idiot-proof mode.  Three solid hits with the sword is enough to send her packing before her devilish vagina slurps us up again.

Normally, when writing up let’s plays of weird Japanese monster girl H-games I like to play a game of which is the more depraved – the game, or my stories.  With the old Violated Hero games it used to be a challenge, but I’ve written a year-and-a-half’s worth of H-space shorts since then... ;)

If you like arachnes and would like to peruse further ‘educational’ literature, this chapter from Succubus Summoning might hit the spot.  And if you like that, you might want to check out what L’mactia’s two sisters get up to when given a man to play with in my novella, "Sandwiched by Spiders".  And nobody gets eaten (okay, swallowed).

Well, it didn’t take long for Monmusu Conquered World to jump right into the weirder kinks.  Let’s see what they have in store for us next.

Text Play Monmusu Conquered World! part 2

Welcome to part 2 of my Text Play of Dieselmine’s Monmusu Conquered World.  Last up I managed to splurge up a thousand words on the intro, as well as a lot of white stuff over a harpy’s talons.

Now it’s time to get into the game proper (and the usual warnings about Monmusu Conquered World being a sexually explicit game suitable only for adults).

Dieselmine games usually have great art, but not exactly the most original and well-designed of game mechanics when it comes to travelling from boss to boss.  Violated Hero 1 and 2 used a Dungeon Master-esque maze.  3, 4 and 5 switched to a weird block-chain of encounters, which was a fairly nice abstraction to be fair.  And 6 had... I have no fucking clue what 6 was trying to do.

Monmusu Conquered World uses the classic RPG-maker ‘run and avoid’ gameplay.  We have to get from one side of the level without coming into contact with any of the succubus sprites, most of which will chase us if they see us.

The overworld succubus sprites are all the same sadly

If they catch us, a short sex animation plays and we have to alternate mashing left and right cursor keys to break out before the succubus drains all our energy and forces us to come.

Did I remember to remind people this blog is NSFW?

This is actually pretty good for what essentially is the filler content.  I’ve always thought a bit of animation adds a massive amount to a hentai game.  It worked really well in Tokinokogiri’s Succubus Prison and Monmusu Conquered World has similar clips.

There are also treasure chests and sparkly things we’re supposed to pick up, but I don’t know what they’re for.

Treasure.  Although, to be honest, I think most players are more interested in collecting all the scenes on the right.

A short run and one forced ejaculation by fairy later (I blame it on trying to take a screenshot) and we’re onto the next cut scene.

This features a pair of fox girls – one with two tails, the other nine.  It’s the classic loli plus big-titted milf combo.  They’re on the list of encounters, but they’re high up on the list, so I suspect this is following the Violated Hero formula of having one the major characters help or hinder the hero early on.

Friend or Foe in Fox form

Unfortunately, this is where the lack of translation leaves me completely bamboozled.  At first a fight looks like it’s about to happen, and then it doesn’t.  Inexplicably a coconut is involved.

Which might be poisoned, as the hero collapses right after eating it.

Resurrection sword to the rescue.

On the next dodge-and-run section there is a house.  Inside is a merchant girl.  Her sprite looks familiar, but I can’t remember where I’ve seen it from.  You can buy potions from her and I think turn the sparkles into some kind of currency.  I think it’s more for if you want to play the game on higher difficulty and need to actually put some effort into improving your character’s stats.

Your friendly local neighbourhood store

This character looks familiar, but I can't remember where I've seen her before

More succubus dodging (after checking out all the H-scenes beforehand, of course) and we’re onto the first boss battle – the Goblin Gang-Bang Squad.

They're more dangerous than they look

Anyone that’s read enough of my stories will probably know I’m not really into the loli thing (even if the characters are really 100s of years old demons that also happen to be short and flat-chested).  The goblin loli bandit of Monster Girl Quest has her fans (and no, they’re not necessarily paedophiles, fuck off shit-stirring offendatrons) and this encounter is essentially a whole crew of them.

As hinted in the intro, the first iteration of the boss fight is unwinnable.  One club to the head from the leader and Luka-clone is down for the count.

Then it’s goblin girl pile-on!

Dieselmine might be sloppy in other regards (sometimes many regards!) but they do a good job here in giving the 2D sprites of the gobbos a little more character by having them bob around excitedly before swarming in.  They do seem adorably cute for a merciless gang-bang squad.

Then it’s the obligatory Bad End scene.  We get a face-full of goblin pussy while the rest of the gang take it in turns to ride our ‘pole’ until we come and come and come...

Snu-snu'ed to terminal exhaustion by the goblin gang-bang squad

I don’t think Luka-clone is a bottomless ambulatory bag of semen this time around so I suspect that does for him.  Good job we have a magical resurrection sword.  That means we get to avoid the senseless horrible slaughter of many many alternate timeline Luka-clones for this playthrough.  But it also does mean the player is going to have to sit through every Bad End, regardless of how icky it gets.  There doesn’t appear to be a skip option either...

In the rematch we get to experience the new sex attacks as halfway through the fight I get a little animated cut scene of a goblin getting in a bit of trampling/footjob action.  This is a massive improvement over the generic tentacle feelers of older Violated Hero games (even if the footjob/trampling thing does zero to stimulate my own personal loins).  In RPG mechanic terms a heart shows up in the player’s status and we have a turn to escape it before lots more blossomy hearts float around the place and our hero makes a bit of a mess of himself.  Reading my notes from the playthrough, I see that I wrote it was good that Dieselmine had implemented the sex attack to actually mean something this time around, as letting it go off is an instant KO.

Um, yep, was a bit premature on that.  It’s not an instant KO, but it does do a helluva lot of damage.

Losing the ‘real’ fight gives the player an additional but thankfully abbreviated Bad End scene.  Unfortunately, no translation means I don’t know whether it’s just a replayed clip of the previous Bad End, or the naughty little goblins are throwing some delicious new taunts in our direction.

Round three is auto-win mode for people not interesting in playing the game properly.  Poor little gobbos do no damage and are dispatched with single hits.

It’s an interesting mechanic.  If you’re making a H-game, you don’t really want to blockade off the sexy stuff behind too-hard difficulty.  But on the other extreme, there have been games in the past where I’ve just blasted straight through, enjoyed a couple of encounters, but wasted others by rushing through in search of ‘better’ scenes.  It will be interesting to see where Monmusu Conquered World lies on this spectrum.

And that’s the goblin gang-bang squad out of the way.  Despite not really being my thang, I did like them for being rather cute and adorable.  I’m almost tempted to write a cute goblin gang-bang squad story to make a change from the grimdark of H-space.  The closest I have is probably this cute elf girl story, and the ending for that is not exactly cheery...

Now that we’ve got game mechanics and intros out the way, future posts won’t be quite as long.  Join me in a couple of days as we have a date with Monmusu Conquered World’s arachne.  Reading the product page description I have a suspicion the ‘v’ word might come up.

Text Play Monmusu Conquered World! part 1

Hello and welcome to the Text Play of Monmusu Conquered World.  This is where I blunder my way through a Japanese monster girl hentai game with wit and – failing that – gratuitous screenshots of smexy stuff.  Obviously, as this series is going to feature a fair bit of erotic naughtiness, if you’re not 18 it’s time for you to scamper off to less salacious parts of the internet.

I’ve perpetrated this madness before as you can see here and here with Dieselmine’s Violated Hero series, and also an ill-advised and foolhardy runthrough of Monmusu Quest: Paradox that ended up being a little more epic in scope than I initially planned.  Monmusu Conquered World is the latest monster girl hentai game from Dieselmine.  From what I’ve seen it can be regarded as a continuation of or spiritual successor to their delicious (and frequently depraved) Violated Hero series.

Unfortunately, this time I’ll be having to make do without any machine translation as Windows 10 is a bit of a fussy bitch when it comes to letting text hookers work.  As I can’t read any Japanese apart from the memetastic and inevitable “Hora Hora”s, there may be a lot more blundering than usual.

(This also explains why I’m doing the Text Play for Monmusu Conquered World and not the higher profile Monmusu Quest: Paradox part 2.  That and I’d actually like to finish the novel I’m working on before the end of the year.)

Right, let’s fire her up.  Tissues and lotion at the ready (actually, can you forget I just wrote that).

There is a difficulty choice.  I’m going to take the wimpy Normal option here on the principle that any RPG trickiness will quickly prove insurmountable thanks to the language barrier.  The bulk of the game is RPG battles versus the various boss monster girls.  There is a game mechanic, talked about later, designed to make sure none of them end up being a roadblock.  Also, I’ve not tried it out to confirm it, but I suspect the higher difficulty level removes or tones down this mechanic.

After that there is the choice to see the intro or jump right into the game.  Skipping the intro gives a crazy movie-style trailer and summary of the intro, but we want to see the intro... I guess... not that I’ll be able to understand any of it.  There might be boobs though.

So, the story.

(Which, fortunately is explained in English on the product page of DLSite.)

I’m guessing we’re in some kind of generic mid-fantasy setting.  Humans don’t get art privileges in these games, so it’s silhouettes only for their sprites.  Everyone is minding their own business until monster girls descend and start snu-snuing everyone to death.

These look familiar...

Ah, I recognise these.  Dieselmine is re-using some of their old art assets.  The succubus and squid girl are from Violated Hero 5.  The harpy is from VH2, I think.  Randomly they then show a bit of artwork that was originally part of Milfy’s Bad End scene in VH2.

As an aside, Violated Hero 2 was translated into English by Dargoth, and is well worth a look.  You can find the translation here.

The hero - who we’ll refer to as Luka-clone from this point on, because some traditions must be maintained – is running away when a harpy ambushes him.  Either she knocks him off a cliff or tries to fly off with him and drops him.  The end result is the same.  Luka-clone falls from a great height and cracks his skull open.

The end.

Hmm, this story appears to be on the short side.

Oh wait, it’s not over.  Despite smearing his brains all over the rocks, Luka-clone wakes up in possession of a fancy magical sword.

At least it's not made out of melted angels...

And thus the greatest solution to Bad Ends being... well... the end.  We have been gifted with a magic sword that resurrects us after death.  That means all the enjoyment of hawt succubus sexy times without that awkward post coital death from exhaustion, fluid loss or having our soul sucked out.  Marvellous!  Now that is a fine way to integrate game play with story.

So begin the adventures of Stewart Peter Bate... wait, wrong story series.

The sword wobbles a lot.  I’m guessing it’s one of those fancy magical talking swords telling Luka-clone that he’s the chosen one to go off and fight the evil demon queen.  I’m guessing it probably neglects to tell him that he’ll probably lose his anal virginity along the way and will likely get eaten at some point, this being a Dieselmine game and all that.

The harpy comes back.  This is where Luka-clone gets to show off the hero power that will save the world.

This also seems very familiar...

Or maybe not.

Hmm, those talons look way too pointy for me being comfortable with them being anywhere near my dick.

I suspect I might have used that joke last time as well.

Not really sure what happened, but give the premise and the amount of white stuff splattering the screen I suspect poor Luka-clone expired from terminal fluid loss.

Bad End.

Which isn’t permanent, because we have our fancy-dancy magic sword to resurrect us afterwards.  No more save scumming and the senseless deaths of many alternate timeline Luka-clones for us to get our fix of hot succubus action.

The harpy comes back and the second plot point mechanic reveals itself.  The harpy isn’t able to dodge everything at will this time and after Luka-clone clips her a few times she decides enough is enough and takes to the skies.

Not only does the sword resurrect our hero, but he comes back stronger each time.

So we’re basically Doomsday, and he was hard enough to kill Superman once.

And with that, I’ll end part one.  I’m planning to put out a new part every couple of days, with each focusing on one of the boss monster girls.

I don’t have a Patreon, tip jar or anything like that, so if you enjoy this series, please check out my books on Amazon.  They’re basically the same thing, but in English (and without pretty pictures... :’( )

Hentai Game Review: Monmusu Conquered World

I haven't blogged on monster girl H-games as much as I'd like of late.  Unfortunately, upgrading to Windows 10 utterly borked the software I normally use for text hooking and machine translation, and playing Japanese H-games without a glimmer of understanding of the text does make it harder to enjoy them.  As a result I didn't know Dieselmine were working on a new monster girl hentai game, so Monmusu Conquered World crept out and caught me by surprise.

Dieselmine are the people behind the Violated Hero series and they have a pretty decent track record when it comes to making games catering to the monster girl fetish.  I wrote about their previous games here, here and here, and was even mad enough to do full walkthrough series of VH4 and VH5.  Generally, Dieselmine tend to be weak on gameplay mechanics and strong on eye-candy when compared to other monster girl games like Monmusu Quest: Paradox and the ROBF series.  VH6 went a bit weird with machine girls to cash in on the KanColle craze at the time and I didn't really get into it.

Monmusu Conquered World has a different title, but it could just as easily continued the series as Violated Hero 7*.  It has the same structure of a series of sexy boss monster girl encounters with some fairly generic game mechanics padding out between them.  I'm guessing Dieselmine did the title switch to avoid sequel fatigue (6 wasn't very good IMHO) and timed it to come out to ride on the coattails of Monmusu Quest: Paradox part 2.

Given that I can't get any sort of machine translation to work at the moment, I initially expected this post to be another: "Hey, here's a new monster girl H-game that looks interesting.  Won't actually post anything of substance on the game because I can't read enough Japanese to play it."  Then I tried out the demo (which generously gives players the first two bosses - a gang of adorably cute goblin girls and an arachne with dubious table manners), realised I could actually "play" this to some extent, bought the game and have so far liked what I've seen.

The adorably cute goblin gang-bang squad in action

But that's enough preliminary flannel, let's talk about the game.

The plot seems to be the typical Violated Hero storyline of a "hero" taking out one sexy evil monster girl after another on his way to take down the demon queen.  I say "hero" because in these games you're normally playing some poor, hopelessly under-qualified lad spending more time being the sexual plaything of the demonesses rather than fighting them.

One of the weaknesses of the monster girl H-game genre is that to get to the sexy Bad End H-scene content (you likely bought the game for), you have to lose.  Monmusu Conquered World gets around this by adding a plot device to justify integrating all the Bad End scenes into the main pathway.  The hero falls off a cliff at the start of the game, but rather than dying he wakes up with a magic sword that tells him he's the chosen one to fight all the demonesses.  That goes about as well as you'd expect and he gets cum-sucked to death by the first monster girl he comes across (a harpy)... only to get resurrected stronger than before.

This follows through into the boss fights.  They all follow the same structure:

Round 1:  Hero deals 0 damage and usually gets one-shotted by the first proper attack (cue sexy Bad End scene).

Round 2:  Typical turn-based JRPG combat.  The player can win or lose depending on whether they can be bothered to use proper strategy.

If you still lose:

Round 3:  Cakewalk fight.  The monster girl likely only does scratch damage at this point and the player will probably win in three or four hits.

The positioning of the Arachne's abdomen and the poison status animation might be coincidental...

I like this.  No nonsense.  Monmusu Conquered World knows what most of the audience are here for and isn't afraid to just be a string of sexy Bad End scenes for people that want to experience it that way.  While I haven't had a chance to check it out, I'm guessing the higher difficulty setting is for players that want to be challenged by proper RPG boss fights.

However, the one problem with the always-auto-lose-round-1 approach is that if there's a monster girl where you don't want to see the sex scene, tough, you're going to see it anyway.  The plot demands it.

As with the Violated Hero series, there are some basic gameplay sections between each boss fight.  In this case they've gone with the stealth JRPG option.  The player has to run from one side of the screen to the other without being caught by the various roaming succubus sprites.  If the succubi do come into contact with the player sprite, a H-scene plays and the player has to struggle free before all their energy is drained.  It's not too challenging and even if the player runs out of energy and lives, choosing the continue option just puts them back to the start of the level (which aren't particularly long anyway).

Run past the succubi, pick up the treasure.  Easy enough.  Except... I have no idea what the treasure is or what's it's used for.

None of this is exactly revolutionary gameplay, but I don't think there's any shame in a h-game not trying to be anything other than an excuse to string a bunch of sexy content together.

The sex content in Monmusu Conquered World is pretty sweet from what I've seen.  There are the obligatory Bad End H-scene CGIs, which are nice, but in this case I think are overshadowed by the cut scenes when caught by the generic wandering monsters.  These are animated and look pretty damn hawt.

This is animated in the game.  It looks really good animated.

When they're not one-shotting the player in round one, each of the monster girl bosses also has an animated sex attack they can use.  This is not the first time Dieselmine has done this.  In previous Violated Hero games the monster girls had animated sex feeler attacks that looked okay for monster girls where you'd expect to see that kind of attack (Alraune, succubi with tailpussy) and really out of place for others.  Monmusu Conquered World fixes this by stepping up from generic feeler animations to proper animation loops of different sex acts for each monster girl boss.

Do you want to see yummy slime girl paizuri where you can see your cock through her big round transparent boobs?  This game gives you yummy slime girl paizuri where you can see your cock through her big round transparent boobs.  Better than that.  This game gives you animated yummy slime girl paizuri where you can see your cock through her big round transparent boobs.

This is also animated in the game.  It also looks real good.

And a whole host of other stuff as well.

Monmusu Conquered World did really well here.  Most of the animated sex attacks I've seen look really good.  I've seen a number of monster girl H-games (ROBF, Succubus Prison) incorporate these limited animations and they add a lot to the games.

Monmusu Conquered World does the animated scene snippets so well it's a shame they didn't incorporated them into the Bad End scenes.  It's especially noticeable with bosses like the mermaid swarm where the Bad End CGI is a static version of their penis-licking attack.  Maybe animating the full picture takes too much work and only animating part of it doesn't look right.

The artwork is by a mixture of artists, most of which will be recognisable thanks to their work on other games.  Most of it looks good, but does have the same different-styles-clashing problem the Monster Girl Quest series has, which is surprising given most of the previous Violated Hero series was fairly consistent with the art (okay, the Bad End CGI art.  I remember the weird pixel art wandering mobs of VH1 and 2).

In Monmusu Conquered World even the artwork tries to have sex with you...

I haven't completed the game yet, but what I've seen so far seems pretty decent.  The price might put some people off as it's on the high side for this type of game.  Also, if you're expecting a complex RPG experience like ROBF or Monmusu Quest: Paradox, this game isn't going to scratch that itch.  It's fine for what it is though, and if you can machine translate/read Japanese to understand the plot and all the sexy taunts of the Bad End scenes, even better.

It's been a while since we last had a Let's Play-type series on the blog.  I'm thinking Monmusu Conquered World is simple enough that I might be able to do something with it.  Of course there will be a lot more guesswork than usual given I'm going to be completely blind on the text and dialogue, but we might still be able to have fun with it.  Watch this space!

*while editing this I realised I might be confusing dev and publisher here.  If the devs are different that would be a fairly obvious reason why this isn't called Violated Hero 7!
